Watching my GAH/RMAH sales since the banwave, I began to think....What if blizzard's plan is to ban us every 3 weeks to not scare us off and keep having us buy copies of d3?

how much profit would I make if blizzard banned us every 3 weeks?

Months ago, it would only take 3-4 days(making $15~$20 a day per bot from experience) to break even and after that was just profit.

Surviving 3 weeks would be net about $300 in pure profit but that's not the case anymore.

Right now with the gold prices plumetted as well as item prices dropping due to huge supply, I wondered how much gold I would have to make for it to pay for itself.

Unless you have many many copies bought during the sale($30~$35) already, it would cost $60+tax per copy which is about $64.

This translates into about $91.42 worth of gold on RMAH(nets $64 after 70% cut) which is about 365million gold per copy.

Assuming you're just gold farming at 700k an hour(16.8mil per day), you'd have to farm 21.7days JUST to break even.

Last week was about average 30mil per day which was about $5.25 per bot per day.

At this rate, if I buy a new copy, I'd have to successfully bot for 12 days to break even.(Thank God I bought my copies for $35 on newegg and made about $30 profit so far.)

If blizzard lets us bot for 3 weeks, that would net me about $110-$64=$46 per bot....

Now, considering all the trouble scanning/putting items on AH, risk in losing the account before 3 weeks, leveling to 60 and gearing, etc....

I'm beginning to think is this worth all that trouble anymore?

What do you want people to say? This has always been a risky thing, and it will always go downhill in terms of profit due to nature of supply/demand, with some spikes during patch times. If it's not profitable then don't do it.

you can pretty much always find d3 for $50 w/o tax.

that being said... im not real sure why anyone would only gold find anymore. i understood it when it was $1+/m or earlier, but now nothing compares to finding a decent item... not to mention a high tier. finding 1 high tier item in the same 3 weeks 100% dwarfs 700k/hr alone.(they still make 400k/hr btw).

hopefully duels breath some life into the game. it really did hit rock bottom after the axed team deathmatch. went from .32-.36/m to the 0.25/m floor almost overnight. such sadness.

game is done till new content comes out... let the bottom feeders feed i say

i doubt they roll out massbans every 3 weeks. my last batch has been running for up to 3 months. but its all just a guessing game. We have no clue if they actually play with us or against us. but bans every 3 weeks would make alot of people stop handing them money so i kind of doubt that

What's the point of botting when Blizzard bans you at break-even point or worse: before you even break even? Even working part time at a fast food joint is more profitable.

Maybe in your country. In my country, botting is better paid job than a real job.

700k gph is super high as well for a.valuation. that has to be near max paragon stats or idk...

In Some Countries this type of income is much harder to come by :D

I've got a job don't worry :)
im from poland (sad to live there, trust me)

Poland = Eastern Europe
Southern and Eastern Europe are much less richer than their Northen/Western Eurozone counterparts.

Poland is in European Union. Try Ukraine or some poor African/Asian countries for comparison and feel the difference. Moral - be grateful for what you have, some have even less.

Yeah. 20 years ago Poland was where Ukraine is now (i wont even mention Beaorus etc). PL is still weak, but 20-30 years ago it was disasters (example in Germany ppl earnings were x15; now its "only" x4).

Well, for example, average monthly wage in Ukraine is about 150-200 eur.( official numbers might be higher, but real ones are not) while prices for food, clothes etc. etc. are equal to those prices in Western European countries. It's a mystery to me how people even survive. As for Belarus - i heard people live better there than in Ukraine. At least the roads are better for sure, that much i can tell.
