[Guide] Best Way To RAF

Currently, for me, the best way to level quickly using Recruit-A-Friend has been to use Combat Bot on a main tank,
while my alternate character is dpsing. Here's a quick setup to get this going,

  1. Load up both WoW windows.
  2. Invite your follower to group, from your main.
  3. Load HB for your follower.
  4. Set Botbase to DungeonBuddy
  5. Under Bot Config, Go down the list to Party Mode - and make sure Follower is selected. Exit.
  6. On Singular's class config, scroll down to disable Targeting and set it to true.
  7. Save & Close
  8. Start on HB button.
  9. Load HB for your main.
  10. Set Botbase to Combat Bot
  11. On Singular's class config, scroll down to disable Targeting, and set it to true.
  12. On Singular's class config, under Tanking, set the option to true (IF USING A TANK FOR MAIN)
  13. Start on HB button for main.
  14. Set your roles for dungeons for each character, on the dungeon finder tab.
  15. List down button, and click on specific dungeons.
  16. Checkmark dungeons that have been shown working here!
  17. Hit Join as Party button
  18. ???
  19. Profit.

Do not use the leader plugin at all. This has been the safest way for me to level my RAF as quickly as possible.​

These instances are working with this guide. I will post more as I level.​

Not gonna say yes, but it should. They will follow you on the tank as long as you are doing it. I've had myself tanking, and two dps alts following me, using DB and its working fine.

Yes i am 5 boxing RAF toons me sometimes in control others times got all 5 on dungeonbuddy trying to build a list of dugeons to afk.

P.S. this is a list so far but not really had chance to test 100% again as of the holidays and the kids running riot.

Thank you for this guide. Will try this.. but I have some questions:

I am not sure if I understood this right... do you have high level char (tank) and two followers (RaF) which only follow the tank and do not attack and have no aggro? Or do you mean all have the same level? I dont think the tank could complete a dungeon alone when he is in the same level range.

I tried this once with a 85 as a tank and two followers but they got always killed by the mobs... how can I fix this?

My 5 man Team is all the same lvl or close enough. currently in the 50's I have 3 other teams which will re test the dungeons after the holidays starting at lvl 15. I have Cloak and Helm looms rest is gear i find.
 
How long does it take to level up one level? I need 20 minutes to level up (tested for level 20-30) with grinding elite mobs with a high level char while the others (RaFs) dont do anything.
 
Since the Icecrown RaF 1-80 isnt profitable for me anymore because of too many idiots on this Cross Realm Zone with LvL 90s which dont understand they need a 85 char I need to do something else.
I also plan to do a five man team with same levels starting from LvL 1 to doing quests until LvL 20 and then dungeons only.. is this a good idea since they need better gear when they level up etc for the next higher level dungeons? Will all my five chars get equipment in these dungeons so they are ready to go for the next dungeons? Or can I do Mix Mode and quest and to dungeons etc?
 
I just hand multibox to 15 with some quests don't take long, then gear my tank up with some greens and off they go. The first time i run a instance i contol the tank so i can do the quests and after that send them off to try and get max exp I only do the simple kill quests or items from bosses if they manage to pick up all the quest items while running round so be it but I don't go out of my way to look for them. these are some of the runs i have been able to do afk.

I only do the bosses need to finish the dungeon when doing afk. Some of the other dungeons run almost faultlessly untill you wipe then they have issues. but these for the most part these are fine or have been fine while I have been running them. Currently on my third team.

5 Man teams are Tank and healer ofc and ranged dps. not done any melee but I can't see it being a problem tbh if they can run them afk.

You say you only do bosses need to finish etc... do you have special profiles or can you configurate this in DungeonBuddy or how should I understand this? I thought DungeonBuddy will complete a instance and do quests alone?
I have five LvL 15s now, I equiped my tank also with greens, now what should I?

What custom routine are you using? Singular?

How long did it take approx. /played time to become 80?
 
Yes all use singular make sure your leader has the leader plugin turned on. In your bot config change party mode to leader and followers. and on your leader you have to specify which dungeon you want to run from the dungeon list in the bot config.
This will enable the dungeon bot to start new runs after completing the last if you just want to run stockades for a few runs just tick stockades.

Dungeon buddy will do dungeons alone unless it bugs out it will not do any quests the default setting is to only do the bosses needed to complete the dungeon optional bosses have to be turned on.

I got 1 day 18hrs and 1 day 15 hrs for the two lvl 80 teams i have done so far with handbox to lvl 15 then instance runs with some instances quests done by me controlling the tank and the runs then afk.

OP seems to have hb setup for his followers and stuff and manually using his tank to level?

And Dranny using trying to use the classic method of all using dungeon buddy? Kinda confused.

Sorry for the confusion this was not the intention. I control the tank sometimes and try and go fuly afk others. So was just passing on the info I had gained.
 
How do i set it up so it does Grind all the way to 80? Can't make the "leader" help with the killing =S
