I'd like to make this a sticky topic as it will be for informative purposes only. I haven't been on D3 in a couple days and I saw some posts about there being maintenance a day or two ago. I want to make sure I'm not starting up a bot immediately after something I didn't know about..

What'd I'd like..

A MOD like BossLand or Tony to make posts in here when it will or has happened.

Realm (US, EU, AU, etc)
Time of Update/Maintenance with a Date

I think it would be helpful for all of the DB users!!
 
maybe just use 10 seconds of ur life time and check the diablo page ?!

ppl gettin more and more lazy

DB provides a service for us. It isn't asking that much to get all the details, especially when the mods have said botting right after a patch may increase your chance of getting banned.
 
nobody cares if you want bossland or tony or anybody else to inform you about things that are announced days before via ingame textbox aswell as on the official webpage and on hundreds of fansites.

since you can not bot after a patch due to update issues, your request becomes even more obsolete.

and if the devs feel the bot is unsafe, they disable the auth servers like last time.

so no need to support your laziness any further!

You can bot right after maintenance right?..Yeah, I thought so.

While I'm sure I'd be a good idea for some people I can't really figure out why you need a moderator to tell you when there's ingame maintenance. Why not a regular user?
Also, why don't you keep yourself updated with forums such as News - Diablo Discussion and Community Forums - DiabloFans.com (the equal of MMO-Champion - World of Warcraft News and Raiding Strategies for wow)?

You took your time to make a post asking other people to do some unserviceable work for you, why not spend that time on finding out how to do it yourself?

some other bots do this for their users so it's not a stupid idea
plus i don't think many bot users visit the official forums/site :)

i am sorry, i just thought you were lazy in the first place.

now i know that you are just totaly off...

botting has nothing to do with laziness, than rather with having better things to do than farming the same things over and over. So some people bot to spend their time with friends, family or on a job, while others bot to make some extra cash.

actually i rather spend 2 hours setting up a bot to farm some shit, than farming it 2 hours by myself, so it is not an issue of beeing lazy than it is to not become bored of rinse and repeat.

but asking people to inform you about something that is allready smashed right in your face multiple times before it actually happens is just.... insert word here

i hope you have somebody who informs you when the traffic light turns green, otherwise you will stand still for ages...
