Skipping Deepholm Quests

So when i started using hb in the cata portion of my leveling it started acting strange. when i loaded kick hyjal question profile 80-82, it would randomly go to a quest in the middle of the zone much further then where i was and constantly try to grab a quest which i'm assuming wasn't there due to not completing a previous chain. so i just bg'd until 82 in which case i tried to use the next profile which is the deepholm 82-83 profile and it grabbed the first quest off the board and then just stood there. so i restarted the bot and now it just thinks that i've completed all the deepholm quests and tries to load the next profile (uldum profile). i've messed around with quest ignore check points but it is the same problem whether it is true or false. i've used ALL of kicks profiles many many times before from beginning to end without a problem so idk what gives here?? log file attached.. i'm sure its something really simple or dumb that i'm missing or not doing..

so i think whats going on is its loading the uldum 83-85, the problem is your not 83 yet, open the uldum profile, and edit it with notepad, and look for <MinLevel> tag near the top, and change it to 81, and save it, then reload it and see if it starts working for you.

Hi, SpOiNgY,

What your are describing is the classic cache corruption problem.

If you want to help HBdev squish this bug once and for all:

• Go to the HB/Cache directory and find the #######.cqc file(s)
• Since the forum won't allow *.cqc to be directly uploaded, Zip the *.cqc files along with your log.
• Upload the Zipped file to a Support issue with a short description of the problem you encountered

To get you going again, here's how to repair the cache issue:

• Shut down WoW and Honorbuddy
• Delete the WoW/Cache/, WoW/Data/Cache/, and Honorbuddy/Cache/ directories
• Restart WoW and Honorbuddy

Caches can get corrupted a few of ways:

• You switch toons, or do a quick log out/in, without restarting Honorbuddy
• You simultaneously run multiple sessions of Honorbuddy from the same directory on disk
• There are other (user caused) triggers, but these are the most common.

If this doesn't get you off-and-away, please post a fresh log after trying this.

Yeah Codename, the uldum thing is exactly the problem because i'm trying to load the DEEPHOLM profile at 82 (which is what level i'm at right now) but for some reason it burns right through thinking i've done them all and then auto loads the uldum one and then i get the error of, this profile doesn't fit your level.

like i said, its easy enough to change the minimum level of a profile, ether that or try doing some battlegrounds or some dungeons, till you get to 83, since you shouldn't be too far off and it gives a nice break from just questing.

Ahh yes i see what you mean, sorry for the misunderstanding. i def DEF love to do dungeons and bgs which is a good idea. also though when i was having this issue earlier with the hyjal portion (before i did the bgs to 82) i believe i did try to change the level of the next profile just as you said, however i still got the same error that the profile didn't fit character, but again that was yesterday and i dont QUITE remember if that was the case so as soon as i'm out of this current bg i will def give it a shot and get back to u immeadiately, and also with an update on china's solution as well. Okay so it seems after changing the minlevel on the uldum profile and loading the deepholm profile i still get the same error (LOG1)

if i load the uldum profile directly i get

Starting the bot!
This profile does not contain any profiles fitting the character!
Bot Stopped! Reason: This profile does not contain any profiles fitting the character!
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Bot Stopped! Reason: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.


and that is LOG2

I'll try China's solution and get back ASAP! ty again for quick responses!

i suspect the profile wasn't edited properly, i went ahead and did the edit for you.

Yes of course that did work like you said, but i'm stupid and should have told you that i'm not 83 and the quest for uldum isn't on the board so it just gets stuck there lol.. sorry about that..

but the good news is clearing the cache worked! thanks both of you again for awesome support and fast response!

i'm guessing this probably happened from me opening up 2 wows and dc'ing myself so i could switch to my lvl 90 quickly and kill the gankers that were ganking my leveling lowbie (a method i use often when NOT using the bot) =( i also switch around characters all the time so its definitely possible that is what somehow messed up the chaches or whatever. thanks again! now i can go back to watchin tv while i pick up some level!! wewt!
