I mean honestly everywhere I read the biggest tinfoil hat problem on this forum is that the forums are public?

Honestly I mean this in all sincerity WHY are the forums public?

I can understand having a public forum ON the forums but making the whole forums public aka profiles ban section bots downloads and so forth. Doesn't this just seem silly to anyone else? It seriously is unnecessary. If the buddy team is afraid that you might not sell as many copies I would argue that you could sell even more with closed forums.

Honestly the only thing I didn't like about purchasing buddy products is how easy it was to SEE everything before purchasing.

To quote someone else

DB devs are selling their software and being in the top of search results is good for business. Why would they even want to hide? Guys are running a legitimate company and Blizzard already knows who they are.

Not as stupid like selling this bot to ppl under 18 years old.

Dont make alot of sense to me, anyone with a torrent client can get a freebie, then just come here and download all the same profiles and plugins the paid users download.

If they block acces, anyone could just pay 1 Eur for trial and download anything he/she wants. Adn if they disable trial, *****er will just pay 30 EUR for sinlge license and put anything u need to bot along with *****ed DB.

if the whole point is to make it safe against blizzard. you really think they cant afford the $30 it costs for a lifetime license? plus people have a hard enough time dealing with and managing keys and sessions as it is, toss in a lot of people now forced to deal with keeping an active key to view the forum, it just adds a lot of hassle no one wants to deal with for almost no upside. we have nothing to hide.

Dont think it says anything here about keeping Blizz out of the forums..

Sry op but this is one of those brainfart ideas. Blizzard will just buy couple of accounts and the people responsible for tracking db profile/plugin development will have access to those just like anyone else in here.

Do you guys have your own ToS? Like Any one that work for/with/close or is affiliated with Blizzard are not allowed accese here!

From what I know you don't need a licence to register anyways.

The idea is to create some kind of restricted area which only users with a valid key would be able to access. Other parts of the forum could be kept public so the argument that the forum is needed for advertisement is invalid. When banwave hit there were hundreds of guests browsing threads. And nobody said that this would keep out Blizzard...
