Hi everyone

thought I wanted to share this information with you.

One of my friends who is a D3 GM (and yes i still bot even though, and he knows i do) told me that botters are more likely to be banned for botting 6hours pr. day and using the auction house rather than botting 24/7 (never using the auction house).

Their logic is..... if you bot 24/7 you are not really cheating (untill you use the auction house) if you bot 6, 8, 10 hours and plays a little by hand, you have an unfair advantage compared to other players and you are cheating.

And another note..... Banhammer will fall again at 24/12 - just a little heads up for the ppl banned today.

Interesting. Probably maintenance / around that time again. So it should be 25/12 5AM Europe (CET). Thanks if not a troll.
 
A gm doesn't have insight into when bans will happen, or the methods that the anti-cheat department uses to catch people.

I got banned after botting 6 hours on a newly registered account after the 18/12 maintenance, also the account didn't touch the AH or traded gear with anyone.

Tell me, which bot did you run? Authserver was down before the maintenance started. .

EU's not the only realm available. Auth server only went down (BuddyTeam manually took it down) after the massive US Realm bans started.

US maintenance and mass bans came before EU, in case you don't know.

Couldn't care less if you believe me or not. But you can't tell me to stop lying when you don't know me or my connections.

My first impression when he told me was the same as yours MAKES NO SENSE, but more i think about the more sense it makes.
 
Good information.. but you miss out the main point only if we are still alive after 21 then maybe we care about this bann

I was botting on Hardcore Inferno MP1 (yes you read that right) so the software is detectable. Period.

Do you really think they are going to scan hardcore inferno? I only know a handful of people who bot on HC Inferno let alone mp1.

Think about it.

Apparently you've never been through a software ban. When a software detection occurs, EVERYONE is banned. There is no "43%" or "80%", it's 100 fucking percent (yes, you heard that right). Stop talking out your ass breh. They "scan" everyone. Regardless of your difficulty or your accounts standing. Everyone, everywhere has the potential to be a botter.

Well, if people that are just 6hrs into botting have been banned (I'm assuming this isn't due to same ip ban, of course it could be this instead), there's a high chance that this is a software detection. Considering how Blizz has a grudge against DB for dragging out the lawsuit and having no clear victory in sight, very likely for them to specifically target this software.
