well as i read other forums there are banns on all bots like tnt, rush4x etc

A couple of hours ago you were ready to write it off as a fluke "only 1% of our users have reported bans".. and the infected files were false positives ofc, even though the user provided solid proof. Maybe this was all sabotage by blizz *wink*. I'm starting to doubt you guys atleast.. Guess that's their goal, get your users to flee.

In addition to undermining the spirit of fair play, botting, hacking, and other forms of cheating can also cause technical problems with the game as well as contribute to performance issues with the Battle.net service. As always, maintaining a stable, safe, and enjoyable online environment for legitimate players is very important to us, and we'll be continuing to keep watch on Battle.net and take action as needed. In the meantime, if you wish to report the possible use of botting programs to Blizzard, please see this thread for more information. (We will also be adding the ability for players to report this kind of behavior directly through the game client in a future patch.)

Apparently it was a Trojan that caused the whole problem ... according watching a stream of a guy ... someone boting put a trojan virus in DB which caused everything to be used with the warden came out and for good ... that's why today blew everything. It is the first time that I'd like to say "the problem we had with the virus they're giving all accounts" but it is more than obvious that it is a dream, the moment I stop boting, one thing that I banned for use an external program and another by a virus that ate and went all to hell ... HB is the best bot I saw in my life, but the DB is far from satisfactory.
 
1000 people, wow. Can you update this topic with the total of banned accounts?
 
is blizz sending emails with these bans? I only ask because I can't login to check, but receive no emails yet? Probably can safely assume I'll be in the same boat without a paddle as everyone else :)

No. I was banned on 1/1 and never received an email.

I don't know if this info will help, but before the long maintenance a week ago where a lot of people got banned I haven't botted because it felt suspicious, and even after not botting since, my accounts still got banned today. =/
 
its definitely not the trojan/warden detection that got db detected because other bots/autoit user got banned also
 
Imo they knew allready all the time who was botting and who not. They just didnt know wat to do with them because so many accounts were involved, and i think they decided to just hit the big hammer today since it grew out of proportions.
Just my cents..

Didnt get banned yet, started using db 3-4 days ago with 1 day trials and used the alkaizer farm routes with a ww barb.

Maybe the pattern is non-randomized profile? Anyone got banned with randomized profiles and multiple profile chooser like YAR? Possible all acts on random?
 
How do the peeps on d3 forum post their ban anger when the account is supposed to be suspended?
 
The truth is that I was using the profile of Act 3 for a month or more, last week used twice the tinnkaizer and I think there is ... I ruined everything beyond being a good profile had enough problems, was lag and things like that, it was rare ...
 
Hmmmm....looking forward to some good info from the devs on a cause for the ban wave. I plan to start botting again when it looks clean and safe(r).

My mule wasnt banned, i would imagine there are still quite a few accounts left to post on the forums with.
 
subcription should be frozen until fix has been made for db since we cant even using it atm
 
Also wat makes me think now, theres a nice option in Starcraft 2 for example how many actions someone does each second.
You can adjust this option in the bot aswell with some profiles. i lowered it myself, but if there thousends of people performing a steady 10 actions/movements each second i think its fair to say this can be detected with ease.
