I am tired of not being able to play battlegrounds without being spotted in less than a second. I can even tell you how to slap a bandaid on it for now

1. Don't stand in the same spot on the transport - jiggle it by a random amount so everyone's scattered in a circle with a 2 yard wide radius.
2. You don't even have to break the flocking behavior - just slap a randomizer on it: 40% chance to go to the largest group, 30% chance to go to the 2nd largest group, 30% chance to go the next point of interest.
3. But DO disable the flocking behavior for the first 10 seconds after major game event - battleground startup, switching sides in SOTA, etc. Don't let the bots sit there sitting on their hands for 2 minutes in the cave after the game begins, because the biggest group is in the starting cave, JEsus christ.
4. It would be WONDerful if the first person to speak in a chat in a battleground, was chosen as the unofficial 'leader of the bots.' They could become the default person to follow if nothing else is chosen. At least the at-keyboard players would get a thrill out of leading a whole pack of bots, and one non-bot might be all it takes to win most battlegrounds.

If you were to do this, it would be a bit less obvious, and give you some breathing room on fixing up the rest of it.

They're working on it, and don't you understand it'll be easily spottable always if 80% of the battleground uses the same bot, profile?

At the moment yes, but not with adequate measures taken - such as suggested "randomizers" in OPs post.

And with 80% of the bg botting, you think you'll see them all spread out or really close to eachother anyway?
Sure it can be worked on but I doubt its a high priority to make BGBuddy really good. I think you can make your own profile so atleast you wont run with all other bots in start.

edit: im not talking against you but what I mean is, I doubt the dev teams highest priority is to make BGBuddy able to randomize your path every time, but I saw in another thread they're working on main bgbuddy stuff.

Have you looked at the bg profiles? Im no expert, but when you open them up all thats in them is where the flags are , blacksmith at these coords, farm at these coords. Yea you could change that and your guy would what stand at a differnt spot at farm than other botters. It dont seem to change the pathing, or when the bot tells it to move to the biggest crowd of people or where combat is going on.

Who is working on it. We get told someone is working on it for the last 12 weeks and in that time nothing has been done. That tells me that NO ONE is working on it. So lets at least be honest about the reality of things.

Changing anything in the profiles will do nothing more than stop you from stacking on top of 20 other people. That is is. Period. The entirety of the bot logic is FOLLOW/JOIN biggest pack. This is why it is broken, nothing more and nothing less. The profiles already contain the objectives, its not bloody hard to change 10 lines of code to pick a random objective for the BG and go to it. That would fix it such that it would be working again to give some time to develop some real AI for bgbuddy.

didnt you see the new guild wars 2 bot they developed? they put man power into that(even though every time its denied by staff yet time and time again hb seems to be unloved until the other bot is under control) we wont see anything about this issue until blizzard does a decent banwave regarding bg botting honestly and from a buisness perspective(hb's end) there isnt any MASSIVE reason to put alot of man power into it because its not cause bans only concerns at this point.

sucks but for hb to survive in a buisness world they need to act like a buisness

Yeah - but it's weird that their name 'Honor'Buddy is the thing they do the worst - battlegrounds. I'm actually quite surprised all the battleground botters got a 3 hour suspension - that's nothing, in the big picture scheme of things.

Even if they were to spiff it up, and put it out as a 'paid monthly subscription' instead of 'lifetime', I think enough people would pay for it that it would be worth their while. We all have our least-favorite stinking levels to quest our way through - it'd be nice to sail by them instead by doing battlegrounds, but it's not really in a usable state at this moment. If I could skip level 80-90 questing by doing battlegrounds, I would, because those are the quests that require the most hand-holding. 'Kill the flying dragon in Deepholm by jumping on rocks', 'Kill the twilight drakes and fiery minions while riding this vehicle', 'Save the goblins in somewhereorother by tossing them floating rubber rafts', etc.

The 3 hour suspensions will change over time, bg botting is such a huge issue that Bliz is being cautious with how it impacts on profits. There is such a huge ground swell of hate among regular players that Bliz has no option but to respond. There is a change in the air, and the smart ones will not be using BGBaddies as it is currently 100% obvious a bot.

They have a lot of other things to fix before they hit BGBuddy. Pretty much everything that has to do with MoP pathing needs to be fixed. That is larger than bgbuddy by a wide margin.
they've been working on BGBuddy, but they are working and make sure some of the core functions they are changing now, are going to work properly without issue, thats why its taking so long to change, test, change, to make sure its fine tuned properly and works, since changing some of these more core functions now will effect ALL battlegrounds, not just the logic changes they have already made to AB and the new CTF battleground (the name escapes me at the moment). its being worked on it just going to take some time as what they are working on now, if not done correctly will majorly screw things up.

If this was the case, why not make a simple change, such as not go to largest pack but rather go to random objective, to make it usable now in all BG's. It is the go to largest pack at BG start that is causing all the issues, changing that one function would make us all not look like bots, while they re-factor the entire bot in the mean time.

we've already change the logic in some battlegounds not to do that if you read my entire post.

I'm sure that all of the developers are trying hard to give us the best product they can because we paid for it. Just give them time.

In 2 only and then only if you are a dps class. A healer going on defence is just plain stupid, but that is what happens with the so called Fixed Logic in one of the BG's. It would not take much effort to slap a bandaid on the rest of it so that it is usable. Changing the bg start function to send bots to a random objective is not hard. You already have those objectives in a list from when you loaded the Bg Profile, so why not use them. Same with the bg death function, after death a healer always goes to pack to heal the most people, tank goes to objective and dps goes to tank. There, i fixed 80% of the issues just by changing 2 functions. Now you have the time to work on actual BG AI to make the entire thing smarter in how it works,
