You'll probably be delighted to hear we've began working on implementing full-maps in current TankLeader, rather than a point-based mesh system as we have been using up until now.

I can't say when it's done exactly, as this stuff is extremely time consuming and complex, but I suspect we may have this in as a part of the current TankLeader which would make the navigational capabilities of the bot much better than they are now.

No promises as of yet, but I figured I'd share this with you guys. :)

Nice info. May you just write a small tutorial how we can create own mesh maps? I guess a few of us would like to support you with improved ones and even a few others would like to betatest them before release. Would be awesome.
 
Sigh, dont mean to sound like a jackass but, this is my interpretation of aev's post:

"We're perfecting the systems of our new TL client, so till it launches in Q3 2013+ you're stuck with our current almost unusable client that we have no intention to work on."


Just let me know for sure, so i can stop using TL till the new client launches, please. =/

Yeah, that'd be before you go wrong. We've no intention on postponing it for that long. As I've said before in other threads, we are working right now on ways to make the current TankLeader more usable, one of those improvements we're working on is full-map meshes, so you don't get the annoying stuck issues anymore (because the bot will know there are obstacles in the way, and navigates around them).
 
Keep it up! I have time to wait, in that time, I'll play WarThunder ^^
