I didnt get banned today just simply because some very simple factors, Gold find/ champion kills/ diablo progress.

These 3 things are what all the ban hammers are based on, gold find being the instant flag to look at an account, then champion kills then total diablo progress, its actually a very simple process that blizzard do and if your accounts flags these 3 things you get investigated, if you are botting while you're being investigated say bye bye to your account.

The simplest most easy way to counter being banned and being able to farm 24 hours/per day, Like i do and don't get banned is make your you have completed the game, make sure your gold find is not 2 high, ,make sure you are not running profiles that JUST pick up gold or run profiles on hell difficultly or below if you are lvl 60 and last but not least make sure your profile is playing like a human would, killing and looting ITEMS, it may not be the most efficient but its not what blizzard look for when trying to drop the ban hammer, when i bot i purely look for items and still get about 400-500k/per hour and yes this is not the highest HOWEVER, i have made almost 1 billion with 1 botting account with the items dropped and sold, Now of course this is RNG, however this is just my simple advice on how to not get investigated and in turn not to get banned but still bot all day every day.

Sorry, but you are wrong. I've been as careful as I know anyone could be with my bots. I made it 6 months without a single ban on 3 accounts until now. I've done everything you said and even more ( I didn't bot 24 hours a day, I bottted 2-3 hours randomly, then logging out for 20min. to hour randomly to look even more human) and still 2 of my 3 accounts got banned. I say wrong, b/c your theory is just that....another theory. You have gotten lucky so far and more than likely your day will come just like me. Sorry.

Yes, this is the reason why I delete my barbs when they turn paragonlvl-80 and restart. Don't want them to have too much gf.

yes because they can only investigate on champion kills and gold pick up...

they can not investigate on time played...

just another tinfoil strategy... excessive botting leads to a ban, sooner or later - period!

you may were lucky this time, we will see what happens next time.
also i hope you are talking about US and not that you are on EU servers,
because EU servers weren?t hit at all compared to what happend this banday on US.

anyway i have para 100 accounts with nearly 1billion gold pickup and far beyond 300k elite kills (that is nearly double the amount popular every day streamers have), still going (nearly 24/7 from d3 release with immortal, then DB and a short break prior to patch 1.05), but it is EU so i do not compare my accs with the currently banned ones at all...

in the end, just because you got not banned this time, does not mean you "know how to do it" or "doing it right" i bet my ass more than 50% of all banned accs these days were botting with item pick up. nobody with a clear mind is still doing pure gold botting, so i see no proof or hint or new strategy here at all.

Yeah... right.

botting on 2 account.

the 1st one my main account with every single quest completed, leveled by hand, with authenticator and sms notification, horadric staff, everything leveled to max... botting for no longer than 6h a day with tons of public games, worth of gear 2B+, 30+ friends etc...

the 2nd one is leveled in 4h from 1 to 60 with a bot, no quest completed, no nothing... just opened the act3 and dropped some gold with my other account and start botting 24/7.

on 12/12/12 both accounts where online botting the 1st one was banned (2h in game botting) and the 2nd one keep going 24/7.

Both are started from one computer, from one D3.exe and still the BOT LIKE account survived.

Long live the RNG.

If your theory is true the only possible ban for me would be that my main account has 144k elite kills and 3 paragon lvl 100 characters, but I doubt it.

Anyone else with 2+ pl100 characters banned?

dude is just talking out of his ass.
my bot that got banned was leveled by hand, had all quests in all difficulties, picked up items and was not 24/7.

just another silly theory.

What this guys said. My bots go 24/7 , skip acts and do all the other bad bot stuff.. not banned

I can say for a fact one way to get noticed is to join random peoples party. Once you join these people they can see you online via the "recent players" list under the friends. When they notice you are on 24/7 and you never respond, unfortunately most will report you because they feel you are getting more than them as far as gold and drops.

This is the craziest reason i have ever heard, back when the game first came out I used Immortalbot for ~30 days or so, my bot account had 400 hours played, 200million gold picked up, less then 100 elite kills, and life time kills of about 1000. levled off the kulle 3-9x turnins. Running crypts without killing any mobs on NM. ~230 GF + 35 PUR + 25% MS.

The account was never banned back then, i stopped botting and gave up on diablo (mid july) until last week i came back, now using Demonbuddy on the SAME account, which has ~300m picked up 200,000 elite kills, lifetime kills over 1.5m. with 300% Goldfind (paragon 3, lol NM). Been going 24/7 (back then with IB, and now with DB) and still not banned.

If they did some investigations by stats, i would of been raped a long time ago. Still going strong today.

TBH, if blizzard seriously wanted to, they so could tell bots vs players by gold picked/hours played but its not exactly proof :/

Only way ive been able to avoid the banhammer is if im offline during the banwave. Thats it.

I had 2 bots(2 and 4 weeks old) offline for 2 days because I was lazy--they were both banned offline.
I have a PL100 that never stopped botting and is still going strong. This is the only account I had RMAH with and also has all the inna's gear waiting in his stash for the next round of bots.

I lost a lot, but got lucky with the one not being hit.

I really want to believe your 2nd paragraph but it confuses me then as to why out of all my bots that were banned the ones that survived included my longest running bot with the highest everything you said to watch out for :o Im putting my tinfoil hat on and saying it was when one of the devs accidentally deleted the offsets for DB causing it to go extremely haywire for an hr, but I could be wrong. As far as I know during that period it was still attaching to diablo THEN breaking which would explain as at this point the bots that were running all were banned and a few I had offline are still all up.

All these theories are pretty useless. But as long as we are throwing shit around here's mine. If you bot, you Will be banned. It is simply a matter of your number coming up.
