I7 3770k CPU - 265.00 Free Shipping. (Quantity 2) Bought And Paid For

What do I need to buy with it to get 16+ bots? (and if I can get even more how do I get the most possible?)

24gb or 32gb? is there a specific brand of ram that is superior?

Best Motherboard?

Best Video Card?

What kind of CPU Cooler?

How to overclock?

ect? ect? ect?

Much <3 thank you for any and all help.

32gb, 1600mhz of corsair/gskill, I use vengeance.
Motherboard doesn't matter too much, ASRock are good budget~, I like Asus boards but gigabyte are equally as good.
Video card, probably a single 660 or 680 if you can afford.
CPU cooler, Hyper 212 are okay, could get a corsair H100 liquid cooler, just lookup reviews/comparisons.

Overclocking is sort of situational to the motherboard you get, just google i7 3770k + <motherboard name> overclock, you should be able to get a stable 4.3-4.5 pretty easily.

32GB Corsair (be carefull, not all mainboards support 32GB. 1155 most of the time only address 16GB but 2011 can also make use of 32GB).
I think it is hard to find a 4x8GB package. Maybe you should also check for an xxl server motherboard with 8 RAM slots and 2 CPU sockets.
Samsung 256GB SSD (830 or 840 Pro) + 2 or 3 TB Western Digital Red for 24/7 botting
Asus Mainboard with auto overclocking function
670 or 680 GTX

Very expensive all together. No idea if you can make enough money in the end to finance this.

whats the deal with "2 or 3 TB Western Digital Red for 24/7 botting"?

What is this banhammer you speak of?

And what would be the consequences of using the old spinning drives. can get several TB at LOW cost.

you wont run 16+ bots if you are not goin the expensiv way. but imo its to late to invest such a huge amount of money.

You will end up investing like 2000-2500? to do this maybe more. + electricity costs. i wouldnt do that

Calculate at least 1GB of ram per instance of Diablo. You should be fine with 24gb of ram, but if I was you I would go with 32gb. Ram is pretty cheap anyway. Since you want to overclock get a mainboard with at least an Z68 chipset. Don't buy an "m" mainboard (the slightly smaller sized boards).

Because of the 22nm making the Ivy-bridge processors needs excellent cooling when overclocking. I bought an Corsair H80 - an integrated watercooling system. It's easy to setup and has nice performance, will set you back another hundred bucks. I really recommend getting aftermarked coolers (120mm) for the radiator - the ones that come with the corsair produce an unbearable noise. You can easily find out how to overclock your cpu via google, the basic principe is to rise its multiplier, benchmark (e.g. with prime), and watch temperatures. As soon as its getting unstable you will higher the CPU voltage and repeat the process. However, you shouldn't expect the same results you would get with a sany-bridge cpu.

Can't really help you with the GPU. Probably want to go with at least 3gb of vram.

Go with:

32gb ram
Z77 motherboard
HD7850 2GB, no need for a better one
SSD big enough, 256GB Samsung 830 is a good choice
After market cooler so you can clock your CPU, the Arctic Freezer 13 Pro is fine

I'm using a rig exactly like this one, except I'm using the HD7950 3GB (gpu use ~40%, VRAM use ~900MB), and I'm running 9 bots on 9 virtual machines.

As far as motherboards go. What are the advantages of going higher than Z68? is the motherboard an area where more performance can be pulled for botting if the correct type is purchased? or is it only critical to have one that supports overclock?

Should I get a more expensive motherboard and push for a 4.7 Overclock?

Would this get the job done MSI Z77 MPower?

Or could I go less expensive?

You guys are forgetting even if he gets banned rather quickly he can sell at least one of the PC's to grab some money back. Computers hold their value as long as a newer series of any of the components isn't out yet. Even 1 month with 16 bots should recoup quite a bit of the cost. It's all luck though.

32GB ram, 3770K, HD7850 2GB, Asus P8Z77-V LX and an SSD big enough and I can guarantee you can run 12-13 bots at least. I'm using that setup and doing 9 in virtual machines just fine. It's not cost efficient to go with better parts, then you should just buy another computer. As far as motherboards go, get a Z77 so you are 100% sure it works out of the box with Ivy bridge. All Z77 motherboards allow overclocking as well and the one i mentioned earlier is one of the better cheap ones.

To people saying "what if you get banned early etc", the cost of the computers shoulden't be accounted as an expense directly. You can easily use them for ~2-3 years or if you get banned quick, you can sell them and then take the loss on them as the expense. Just basic economic thinking really.

or you just buy new accounts ...

btw i would recoment more than 1 internetaccess (example : yours + the Wlan from your neighbour who dont use it that much)
you split the risk (if they " IP BAN) the Load (could be a prob - depending on your area ) for almost no extracosts (maybe a beer is enough :? )

There is almost no difference between the Z68 and the Z77. Peformance-wise they are identical. The Z77 just comes with on-circuit usb3.0 which saves some watts. The mainboard can be important when overclocking since it is the part that directly supplies your CPU with power.

damn that's really cheap newegg has it or 3bills.

Pretty much do the opposite of what everyone is saying here.

You can get away with a cheap video card, but you will need 2-3GB video ram on it.
Crucial M4 64gb, enough for windows, diablo 3, and innerspace.
212 evo is fine, water is a hassle and has minimal gains on air.
Cheap Z68 with OC options.
600W PSU, Corsair is solid.
