Installing the new Nvidia Beta Driver 310.70 from the 4th of December seems to help. I keep you in touch.

I am using Nvidia gtx 660 ti superclocked and had these same problems a while back, I ended up having to under voltage my video card and it stopped most of the problems. Still get occasional freezes.

using newest drivers also.

I have this problem..on a evga gtx 580 on i7 2600k. also on i7 3820 evga gtx 560 ti. it's such a stupid problem. both computers are runnin 3 bots and temp is 47-50C.

updating the graphic card driver to a beta didn't work.

maybe this is a memory issue, due the circumstance, that undervoltage might help. ozzborn, any updates?

EDIT: i try to seperate the 1,5 GB gfx mem in 3 parts of 500 for every vm. there is an amount of 768 mb shared memory. this could cause some occasional errors. i go on with fixing.

EDIT2: svga.vramSize at the vmx file in/decreases the amount of ram.

EDIT3: VMware Communities: Games on VMWare ... 2 years ago, no reply :(

Sorry for my english, try to understand.

I have the same Problem with WM8.
I found a way to avoid this problem.
When the D3 window on the background, I am bringing the mouse to the D3 icon in the taskbar, when shows small window preview i carefully move mouse down (preview window should remain) and switch to another window (next WM or local mashine).

After these steps, I have never seen such a problem:D

This might fit to my memory issues. If this will help, i kiss your ass! :D

After another two hours of fixing, i try to change the "Power Management" Settings from Adaptive to Permannet in the Nvidia control options.

moving the mouse over the task bar didn't fixed the problem :/

EDIT: Changing this Settings decreased my GFX Load in insane way!!!! i will open a thread referring to this, if there is no one existing.

When you move cursor from the WM to your computer, you see a small preview window of runing D3?
This window should remain when you switch to another WM or local desktop.

is the game running in the preview window? live? or is there just a still image? because then i should change my windows 7 settings.

it crashed once again, after 20 minutes of running. i'm thinking about buying an ati graphics adapter....

A complete waste of CPU and GPU resources.

:((( didn't work for me too.

now i'm going to install windows 8

I've installed Windows Server 2012 a couple of minutes ago, already have added hyper-v. if it will function for the rest of the day, i write a guide

Maybe GPU temperature is too high because of overall load? ATI/Nvidia drivers tend to restart if GPU freeze (and it is common when temp is high). So its seems like it.

If it is temp problem, shouldn't it make all screen black? I have one VMware running one bot and desktop with another bot and only VMware screen turns black once in a while. Desktop bot screen never goes to black

I hope someone find a solution

I have the same Problem with the following configurations:

AMD Phenom X4 965
Nvidia GTX 460
16 GB DDR3
SSD

- VMWare Player 5 / Workstation 8 / Workstation 9 (Tried every Version)
- Windows 7 Professional 64 bit / Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit as Virtual Machines. Both with legit keys.

I have tried with Windows Updates and without Windows Updates etc.
Botting would work so great, if there wouldn't be this damn problem.

Anyone tried to install Windows 8 as Virtual Machine and as Main System?
Is there someone who has Win 7 / VM-Win 7 / Nvidia GFX without Blackscreens?

I have Intel I7 920, Nvidia GTX 580
18GB DDR3

Win7/ vm-win7 but still have black screen on and off

I don't know what is GFX.
