Why is hacking a good idea?

I was watching my GB bot farm mats around storm peaks when i seen another character mine a node from underground.
Do you really get that much more mats by hacking vs botting?
hacking gets you banned without warnings...
imo botting is soo much safer than hacking, though you do get spotted less by hacking
 
They don't have to worry about the other faction, etc. Terrain editing has its advantages, but I prefer botting as well.

Account stealing and hacking go hand-in-hand, I think. They steal an account, farm as much as they can and mail it off before the account gets reported stolen. This is what happened to my main account a while back. Luckily a family member noticed my character was online so I changed the pass immediately. They put an authenticator on it, so neither of us could get in the account. When I got it back there was like 12 stacks of Titanium in my inventory, and it was only in their possession for maybe 6 hours tops.
 
yeah but "hacking gets you banned without warnings..." thats like 150 bucks they just wasted? how long could a hacking account go for before they get banned? lol doesnt seem worth it!

when getting banned, do they ban all accounts on a battle.net account or just the one account that was actually hacking?

Just the ones they can prove were hacking/botting.
 
Good info ski... and yes they only ban ones they can prove were hacking / botting. Normaly the 2 go hand in hand but not always.

There are hacks out there that are very safe... Honestly i would say that some are safer than botting from what my people tell me..
 
Easy to explain that one actually... "huh what do you mean? I am standing directly on top of %T"

Not allowed to say program i dont believe so i wont... but speed issues are easy to explain away and mask... zaxis issues even more so. there are ways to intentionally dump your character under the ground. Give you a old way... warrior charge in WSG there is still plenty of exploits like this available.

Botting has massive logs as evidence. Alot of people that i have seen hacking are jerking off in BG's and things like that were there is enough legit play to mas the hacking. You ca spend countless hours trying to not look like a bt but if another botter see's you MORE THAN LIKELY they will know your botting. PERIOD>

Thats not true, whats weird is, when i see someone acting suspiciously, i dont even think about, Is he botting? I just think, oh hes afk and running into tree. IDK why, i just think that way.

When i do know someone is botting is when the botter takes the same route as me in AV and does everything exactly the same as me :P

I'm at work talking to my friend that doesn't bot at all. Him and I agree we can spot a bot out of anywhere. for instance.. my friend says he was mining a node earlier today and an alliance guy flies down and tries to mine the node even though there was an enemy there. my friend starts attacking him and all he does is turn and start melee him. the alliance character is a hunter.... my friend is a bear.
That's way to obvious.

Well yeah, i would think that too, but im talking about things like unstuck not working, or running in curves like PPather use to do with Glider, I just thought he was afk or screwing around.
