Finally Ready to Start Selling Gold - RMAH Questions

So I have enough gold that I want to sell some now, I just have a few questions about the RMAH.

If I list it for a certain price will it only sell at that price/not sell OR will blizzard sell it for lower (eg. Put it up for 30c per mil, will it sell for 25c/mil if no1 buys at 30c/mil?)

Also % does blizzard take (I believe they take more on top of the 15% to paypal fee?)

So after all the cuts what is the FINAL price per million on average?

Also is it better to perhaps sell to websites?

1. It will only sell at what you list it, if price drops you won't sell.
2. 15% blizz cut, 15% paypal cut.

1000000 @ .37 = .37 x 15% = .3145 - 15% = .26 (after rounding)... so roughly a quarter per million net profit atm.

Thanks alot man, yeah I just listed some it sayd 30% total cut with paypal.

Great was just hoping it wasn't like patterns where you list them for x and they drop 10% then sell... would be quite annoying!

If you have alot of flawless ruby or emeralds I would dump your gold into making radiants and selling them off on the RMAH.

If you have alot of flawless ruby or emeralds I would dump your gold into making radiants and selling them off on the RMAH. That way your only taking a 15% hit, and its more profit.

sure they take 15% + 15% on gems aswell....

sometimes people have no clue what they are talking about,
and the fact that he does this strategy and misses the double discount... yeah well

sub summarum, all commodities (= stackable items = gold, gems, mats,...) are cut off by 15% + 15%

only gearable items (weapons, armor,...) are cut off with 1 ?/$ + 15%

that person gave you the wrong info. This is still considered a commodity (gems). Blizz takes 15% off all commodities sold on the RMAH and so does paypal.

Thats my bad. I thought it was 15% cut, but it looks like a 30% cut as well.

Its still better than selling the gold straight up.(If you have the mats)

No worries, i still managed to make a couple mil from it, but for the time it took isnt really worth it (esp when u can be botting for that time). Thanks anyway
