Is it possible to be 'flagged for bad drops'?

I was just skimming battle.net and saw that players were reporting bad drops (lol), like, they haven't gotten many legendaries and when they do, they are very bad rolls.

is this pure RNG or do you think Blizzard is actually "turning down the MF dial" on suspicious accounts?

It depends on your name, your class and your intellect. RNG is just a lie.

Anything is possible... the better question is how likely would it be that blizzard would flag "special" people to get bad drops...

my higher paragon levels (90+) find a good item as often as a fresh (1-30 pl) guy does... but my higher PL also finds quite a bit more of the scrap legendaries lol

RNG, confirmation bias, the grass is always greener etc.

No, everyone's luck is the same, RNG is equal for everyone.

Yup as everyone has said, RNG is all there is.

One odd thing I've noticed and friends have corroborated is item streaks. One day it seems like I'll get 5 Lamentations but no other legendaries, other days its Gladiator Gauntlets or Firewalkers or whatever. I've also compared notes with friends and they seem to get similar drops as I am. May be pure coincidence, but its a big coincidence if it is, strange for different accounts to nab up very similar items on the same days.

Would be hilarious if instead of banning botters they just made you get bad drops.

On a side note, I have started a collection of bad legendaries. I'm in the dozens for stormshields and firewalkers.

I think you are an agent sent from Blizzard to scare people from botting. I don't have any evidence to prove it, but I also don't any evidence to disprove it, so the only logical conclusion is to poll anonymous internet users.
