Just wondering, I recently have met a few people who are buying unlimited amount of herbs and ores for a bit cheaper than AH prices ( about 30% cheaper ). Any ideas of why they buy unlimited amounts of stacks? Im just curious, have not had enough time to play to really know. Are they making some type of profit that I could be making?

Please enlighten me :)

Multiple reasons, some are crafting pots, flasks, etc for their raiding guilds, some may be leveling their profs. Some may have a unique market that they want to keep up with. For instance, a lot of my ore goes to someone who prospects the ore, xmutes the gems into primal diamonds, cuts them and them sells them. A little more work than I am interested in, but it makes them money (legit players). Darkmoom Faire cards are also very popular right now. I know a few people (myself included) who have multiple maxed out scribes, just for the extra DMF cards.

Darkmoon days it is for the scribes. Other days are: Ores for shuffling, herbs for inks-->cheap shoulder enchants --> vendor if the herb price is right.

Thanks for the input guys! does this mean that the price of herbs/ores goes up when darkmoon begins?

Not necessarily, since the cards can only be made once a day/per scribe. People who sell the cards/decks/trinkets, generally have to keep up with it everyday.

Also, with the release of the patch last week, that cut the spawn rate of nodes down 50%, that helps alot with prices. People just dont wanna farm for 2 hours something they used to get in 1 hour. This is probably the biggest reason prices are rising.

And, you're welcome =)

TBH... They know you are botting and making a shit load of gold of you at your risk.. Whilst it great to have a permanent buyer Your better of setting you self up so you can do what they are doing..

ie. mill and prospect your own ore and herbs. I went from making and average of 20-30k a week to 50-100k a week

They prospect ores, cut gems, sell on ah. Create necks/rings from uncommon gems, disenchant necks/rings, put enchants on ah.
Inscription:
Mill herbs
Create shoulder enchants for the Ink of Dreams
Sell Starlight Ink

On my realm starlight inks are between 80-100g, usually you get 1 starlight ink per herb stack. + 18,75g per 3 Ink of Dreams..

If i can get them cheap enough i'll buy them, I have 8 scribes all making cards.

even if herb is 100g per stack you profit!

Inscription was very good for selling the BoP shoulder enchants. 3 ink of dreams - vendor 18,75g, if you have 300 stacks of Green Tea Leaf, you'll get many stacks of Starlight Ink and shoulder enchants, which was better than selling the tea leafs on ah for 30g. Now it's better to sell on ah atm on my realm, they sell for 60g per stack.

Prospecting is still strong since the ores are so low on ah, you better prospect it and cut gems enchants etc. and is alot more bought than Starlight Ink.
On my realm, todays prices, i'd say: Jewelcrafting/Enchanting > Alchemy > Inscription
