How scary is BG botting?

Hi!

For me it seems like everyone can spot a bot in BGs today, at least when they are all following the same path etc. Is botting for honor even worth the risk? I mean... blizzard have to see all the bots following eachother.
Basically does anyone have any experience with botting BGs if so why do you think you havent been banned yet?/what have you done to not get banned while botting bgs.

If Blizzard bans everyone who's bg botting, then the battlegrounds would be almost empty, the queues would be hours.
You can make your own bg profiles.

Whats the chance of many players in the same bg reporting you?

I'd imagine it's still fine for the most part, haven't heard of anyone I know being banned because of it, just as with any botting; do it in moderation (Not 24/7).

It seems common enough currently that you 2-6 people doing the same thing or following the same path, and to that I guess you'll have to wait until they update BGBuddy (mentioned recently), or make your own BG profile as said above.

Ive got 3 toons on the same bnet account botting, i bot to level plus i want bloodthursty. Once i get that, ill prob stop. I run enough custom profiles and plugins that my toon doesnt run the same as all the others.

Can you be logged in on more than one wow acc on one bnet now? has it always been this way?

Personally i wouldn't invest to much time into botting randoms. The one or two fixed BGs work well enough as to not look totally bottish, but they rest are just fail currently.

When there is enough butthurt and outrage from the REAL players, blizz will drop the ban hammer hard again and there will be mass banning.

The problem is not the profiles, it is the logic that the profiles follow, so changing them does very little. As for the chance of many players reporting you, its starting to get rather high. There are a lot of self proclaimed BG Messiahs out there whose first words in BGs are REPORT THE BOTS, then, throughout the bg, start pointing out who is a bot and encouraging people to report them.

Its not uncommon to see 20 odd bots in some of the bigger BG's. More than 50% of the teams running backwards and forwards not knowing what to do and where to go because of a lack of real players to take the lead.

Ultimately it is user beware, and use at your own risk. If it is an account you care about, then you need weight up the risks verses the rewards and take it from there. For me, Bgbuddy is just way to broken and obviously a bot and it is not worth the risk in using,
