Well I woke up and read my email to read that my account had been closed, (an email from [email protected]) the title read Diablo III - Account Action Notification with the main message reading * * * NOTICE OF ACCOUNT CLOSURE * * * and it goes on about how I broke the rules and was botting etc etc...I was like noooooooooooooooooo..... until I tried logging into game and I was still able to play my character 0_o. THE EMAIL WAS SENT LAST NIGHT AT 11PM IT IS NOW 9:22 AM!!! So my question being wtf is going on, does it generally take time after the email for the account to close?

transfer everything asap and say your last words to your accout :P

Also could anyone tell me what kind of message you would receive upon logging in if you were banned?

I read a thread in here where a guy received the ban email and didnt could still access his accounts for 2 weeks. I just had two of my accounts get banned last night and I can still access them. It looks like you will lose access if you ever log into battle.net, so DONT log-on to the website. I'm gonna see how long I can play with my banned accounts without logging into the website.

The friend I talked about earlier wanted to add a new license of D3 to his account, hence why he called Blizzard in the first place, however after double-checking with Blizzard that his account was not banned even though he got e-mail; he is now playing on the account without any problems ( which means he did log the website and tried adding the new license)

I have already done that a few hours ago, still not banned account status still active: I will keep you guys updated!

I am in the exact same situation :P 2 of my bots are supposed to be banned, but so far they look pretty much alive to me :P not sure whether or not to dump my gear to a mule for sale. Might flag the mule as well as if the ban won't get through its a waste of my hours.

Yeah I have great gear (prob worth a few hundred usd) but honestly I really don't mind, I am not going to bother transfering. If I get banned it might be a good thing...I could finally keep that electric bill down xD that and play some other/newer games

I've been gearing my bots out with 50m gold each. Don't care that much if i lose 50m in gear.

I problaly have about 150mil worth of gear on each of my bots, including stuff they found themselves. In the current market worth about ?27 :P worth the risk to me.

I don't think Blizzard sends updates or warnings about your account when you're banned. This is probably a phishing attempt, almost guaranteed. I get a ton of them every week going to my old Hotmail still.
Thanks for the info, ill check around!

Sorry, deleted my comment thinking it was incorrect information. Make sure the email address you're seeing is really the official Blizzard email address as you can see a lot of crazy domains that look like Blizz support.

Yeah I just googled the email that was associated with the message there are a fair amount of threads on battle.net saying that they are fake and def should not click the links

Did you log into anything after clicking the links at all? If so, change your password!

God no, I didn't click any of those links, I am familiar with phishing attempts/scams etc. I simply logged into game and was like 0_o then I manually opened battle.net and changed my info on there anyways.

Seems that I got fooled too (6/6). Now I checked all the mails I got from blizzard.
All previous mails (support tickets, AH notifications) contain my first and last name in greeting. In these ban mails greeting just ends with comma.
Another difference is mail footer. My mails are in russian, and if they were english the difference would be that ban mails are signed "best regards" and all the others are signed like "yours faithfully".

So it seems that i have extra (mule) account now.

I have 15/24 with emails sent this morning. Those cannot be phishing for sure, because those emails were never ever used anywhere and were random as fuck -_- Still I could offload all items from the accounts 12 hours after the emails. Now waiting 2-3 days just to see what's up...

If these were phishing mails, they would not have legit links in them. I've clicked and you get transferred to the REAL Blizzard site, not some scam site.

YIKES! Thanks for the info guys, we will just have to wait and see then.
Edited my topic because I am still unsure as far as my account status goes and don't want to confuse people.
