5/7 suicide bots, one machine, ISBoxer - banned

1 - barb, P93, 90 days old - banned (RMAH attached)
2 - barb, P80, 35 days old - banned
3 - barb, P70, 25 days old - banned
4 - barb, P65, 20 days old - banned
5 - barb, P55, 12 days old - good
6 - barb, P50, 10 days old - banned - day after the patch
7 - barb, P45, 8 days old - good

1) Were you using DemonBuddy on the account at the same time the ban/suspension occurred? (Kicked offline due to being Banned)
Yes, all were running

2) If not, when was the last time?:
n/a

EDIT:
3) If using a public profile please name it here:
CIGGARC Act 1 Champion Hunting 3.0.3 until I started the 5th bot, then switched them all to:
CIGGARC Act 3 Champion Hunting - Trinity experimental

4) How did you level your characters? Please give some details
#1 was hand leveled the first 30 with some waypoints from friends, then champion runs with DB to 60.
#2 through #7 were leveled on champion runs with waypoints/diablo kills from #1.

5) What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname:
GilesTrinity 1.6.3.4, in the past week it was Unified Giles 0.42

6) What plugins are you using?:
RadsAtom 1.5.1
BuddyStats
YAR Comm
Gold activity plugin

7) How many hours per day did you bot for?:
24/7 and proud of it. No guts, no glory!

7.5) What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot?
Far more than I wanted to. 20%.

8) How many auctions per day did you have?:
All bots kept their slots full as much as possible, so probably 5 sales per day per bot on average. RMAH sales were sporadic, but always had stuff up.

8.5) Did you use the Real Money Auction House (RMAH)?
Yes, on #1. Paypal.

9) Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, Mods, or Exploits?
Nope, unless you count YAR.

10) Was your account involved in gold selling?
Yes.

11) What server region where you connected to (The Americas, Europe or Asia)?
Americas.

Getting banned sucks, but here's a ray of hope for multiboxers. I had 7 bots running 24/7. All on the same profile (CIGGARC trinity test nonrandomized), all using ISBoxer and YAR. I did absolutely NOTHING to hide the botting. No effort to alter my mac (in fact, same mac address as the last round of bots banned), all running through same router to same internet connection, so same IP. They banned my oldest 4, which were between 2 months and 2 weeks old. My newest 3, at up to 10 days old, survived just fine. Every single one of the bots had been going 24/7 since level 1. Hell, they were even all friends with my main bot for gold transfers (the main was banned)

So, take what you will from this, but this morning was actually a bit of relief for me. I knew they would get me eventually, but my fear was that they would nail all my bots because they were so obviously linked. They left me with 3 to rebuild my army. Almost seems... intentional :) Merry Christmas from Blizzard!

Perhaps other accs are flagged now... Or can be banned a bit later.

Good possibility. I have no illusions that any bot is safe. But I have a feeling that those three have survived this patch.

i also notice that alot of ppl with multiple account are using relogs.

you where not botting 24/7 don't lie, i've been 24/7 botting on two accs for 32 days exactly and they are both 90. so the both higher and the three with less level, have not been 24/7 :)

Lol, ok, I thought 80 wasn't bad for 24/7 for 35 days, even with a star ruby in the helm. Maybe the fact that my barbs are equipped for 30mil (10 mil in last month's currency) and have 25k dps has something to do with it :P I also only started using a relogger about 2 weeks ago, so the 4 older ones had some downtime when they crashed and I wasn't looking.

im not using relooger :p so when they crash they go offline for few hours (maybe just minutes) also my barb /monk started with 30k-40k dps and i only wasted around 10 milion on each char for the begining set, and with 30 days of botting u should already have an awesome set! ppl prefer selling items that they could use thinking that the character is flaged to ban, but with a good gear you can duplicate the items/gold. so all in all with some luck if ur barb lasts for 2 weeks, at least, then u would profit a lot.

How much $$ were u making a week with that setup?
Don't know, it's a work in progress, and the gold price has halved over the past month. I would estimate that since I started the second bot a little more than a month ago, I've purchased 5 more keys at $50 each, a 3DB license for $70, spread around about $60 in donations, have $220 in paypal to rebuild with, and have swept $600 to the bank. About $1200 total, all paid for by RMAH sales.

I agree, better to reinvest some earnings. I don't really bother comparing gear before I sell it, though, it just takes too much time with 7 bots. I quickly appraise and auction everything over a million. I did do a round of upgrades on each as they hit paragon 50 or so, switching from goldskin to tyrael's might, and giving each bot a roughly identical setup with 24 move, 45ish crit%, 240ish crit damage, 700+ allres, 50k dps and 35k hp. About 30-40 million per set, but I believe that's pretty close to the sweet spot for A3MP0 champion runs with a WW barb. Over the 7, I probably spent about 400-500 million in gear experimenting and upgrades. My newest bot cost 60 million to gear, but the price of gold is on its way down too.

Forgot to mention that the first 4 bots ran Act 1 MP1, I switched them all to Act 3 MP0 for better exp and drops/hour. That may have affected my exp gain, explaining how it took so long to hit high paragon. Editing the original post.

well, tbh thats lot of money wasted to my eyes, just bot 24/7 and if you got a better item than what u are wearing, just change it. Dont worry about going on ah and upgrading, just let the items come, they will soon or later i can assure u that. also when u hit 30 days without ban i would suggest you to give the set to a new bot, like i've done. (right now my two 90's have sets worth 500 to 800 milions and all of the items where looted, therefor as i know a ban can come soon, i just gave it to a noob char with more posibilities of not going baned and also it will hit levels rlly fast!)

imagine a paragon 0 barb with 110k damage, 1000 resist all, 8,2k armor , 371% crit damage, 39% crit and 42k hp :D its gonna rush levels! jaja

ROFL MAO My bot has 10 milion gear and easily kills act3 mp1. With 35% crit, 500@ 70k dps and 40 k hp... You failed!

I guess :) We're talking about pocket change. I don't have time to worry about comparing drops or hunting for auction house deals. My newest bot cost 60 mil to equip, which I could have sold for... $12? So what? You remind me of the people on the trade channel bickering over the price on a 250k item. Peanuts compared to time spent.

Mutiply your 60 milion by number of characters... Still pocket change? And if the bot is able to to its job with cheap gear why should we buy more expensive one?

Were you botting the main too? Or was that banned for selling botted items & gold?

There's nothing wrong with finding cheaper gear for your bot. I say get the cheapest shit you can find that will let your bot run A3-0/1, because money saved is money earned.

I choose to outfit one of my bots with half an hour of AH shopping and forget about it. I have very specific goals for the gear I put on my bot, and it makes it on the expensive side when I just do buyouts. I am sure that the 60mil I spent on my last bot could have been done for 30mil if I had been patient with the auction house. My point was that the $6 I wasted is less valuable to me than the extra minutes I would spend sitting in front of the game.

Everyone here has different priorities. Some people want to make as much profit as possible, and for them, counting pennies is part of that goal. I personally don't have a lot of excess time, so I compromise. That $12 is insignificant when compared to the average profit of a bot before it is banned, and that waste percentage doesn't change no matter how many bots you multiply it by.

I was botting the main. I have heard of it going both ways, some people claim that their never-botted mains get banned too for interacting. I think with my next set of keys I am going to try not botting my RMAH account, only because I like to attach a new phone number to it and I'm running out of phones. Maybe I'll get lucky and it will survive the next ban, and maybe it can help rebuild more bots.
