At what DPS does movespeed start to matter for Inferno A3 MP0/1?

There's a cap at 25%, so no need to go higher than that. But I mean, more movement speed is better then lower movement speed no matter what your DPS is. If you at some time run during your round, you will benefit from more movement speed. That's kinda easy to understand.

the question is how many dps is 1%ms.. it has allways an impact.
the more dps you have the better ms becomes obv.

i believe it makes a noticeable difference over the course of 2 months

MS% has nothing to do with your dps..... MS is only for moving hence the name of the affix - it helps you move faster between the packs of mobs and run back after you've chased a goblin for 700 miles.

Eh, MS% does help overall DPS as it helps you deal continuous DPS by being where you need to be. I would at times take MS over AS tbh depending on breakpoints ect.

that does not make any sense Yori.... movement does not affect your dps... DPS is only valid when fighting you can't use the dps/movement speed statement as your MS doesn't help you kill anything or increase your damage - it "increase" the might contribute to the total amount of damage you do over a given time but it does not affect how fast you kill a given pack and/or mob. Ergo my previous statement will give more sense, as it will reduce 'downtime' between fights.

Continuous DPS over time is increased DPS, moving 24% faster will in fact increase your dps over time, especially when comparing it to IAS breakpoints, so how can you not say MS increases DPS?

This thread would start making sense if you start talking about damage per hour, not damage per second.

because it DOES NOT help you actually kill a monster faster, it will however help you move faster between mobs.

if two guys kill an identical mob lets say diablo with 100m hp, i have 24% IAS and you have 24% MS we both have same both have the exact same 1k dps weapon and other wise naked who will kill diablo fastest ?

only kinda - as DPS is theoretical and actual Damage output is somewhat different... But feel free to jump in ;)

And what about mob which you have to run after. The longer you can stick to them, the more Damadge Per Second you can make. Well, as long as you dont onehit mobs (mp 0-1), MS is a DPS raiser.
Just for clarification. The 25% MS cap is just before skills. When you take sprint with marathon, you have a 75% increased MS, which makes a huge IPH difference.

Are you guys that bored you are arguing about nothing? You can't compare IAS vs MS in an argument because you don't need to sacrifice one to get the other. MS does increase your dps in fights with multiple mobs marginally and it up's your DPM significantly cause you get around the map faster.

TLDR: You should get 24% MS no matter if you are at MP0 or MP10

Damage per hour / 60 / 60 = Damage Per Second... Its the same thing.

I think he's trying to ask what the marginal return is...say if you could sacrifice 12% movement speed for 20% dps boost would it help...and if that is indeed what you're looking for, it is a very complicated answer. Mainly due the variables including your routines. If you have routines with lots of open space MS becomes higher value, if you do short runs full of mobs dps would become more important. Anyways I think 24% movement speed is a must for most routines atm.
