How to lower CPU usage of d3 ?

Im using a laptop for botting atm. Its an "OK" laptop. 2630QM CPU.

with 6 d3 i have 40-50% cpu usage. But then this mother fucker spikes to 100% causing lags. All d3 settings is on lowest, sounds off,d3prext is on hardwareclass "1". TPS on giles is also on max 10.

Any other tips to lower the cpu usage from spiking? Because my ram can handle 4-5 more d3.

Im in the EXACT SAME BOAT AS YOU. I dont effing get it.

as it's a laptop it prob doesn't have very many cores but anyway. On windows -> Ctrl + alt + delete, go to processes tab, right click the Diablo III process you want to change, click Set Affinity, uncheck all CPU's but 1, evenly distributed between all (if you have 2 CPU and 6 diablo 3's, put 3 on CPU 0 and 3 on CPU 1) should lighten the load by quite a bit. It will make D3 "appear" as if it's lagging on each one, however if it's hitting that high of CPU usage you prob need to deal with it as it doesn't effect it but a little anyway. If it's still not enough I'll whip up a memory manager.

Also, it's not that no fucks are given, just the people that know what to do just hadn't viewed your thread (i have work :P)

Wow, that really helped. I have 8 cores. dunno if those other 4 are virtual or what.

You have an 8 core laptop? I mean it's incredibly possible but... wait nevermind. I'm extremely poor and can only afford $50-100 laptops lol, that's prob why xD, all 8 are real, but ya just split them between and you should be good!

its an asus g74sx, dunno if its 8. I think its just 4. Because it stands its a quad core .But when i got to ctr alt delete. it says i have 0-7 cpu.

When I do that all i get is this:
Unable to Access or Set Process Affinity
The operation could not be completed.
Access is denied.

OK is all i can press :(

click Show Tasks for All Users, should elevate you to admin status. If not, give yourself full admin privileges.

Great that did the trick :) Thanks.

Is there a way to auto do this so I dont have to do that every time i start my bots?

There is no way directly through windows but if you want to you can download my attachment, little program that will set all open diablo III's to 1 core and an option to keep them all at one core while the program is open. I can't test on more then one diablo III at the moment but it should work fine.

Hey your trick for the cores worked perfectly thank you!! Im now running three diablos at 15% cpu usage
I was wondering if its possible to use the ram usage with 3 of them opened its using 7Gb of ram.. Im not using vmware or anything is it possible for it to use less???
Thanks

Unfortunately I can't help with that, you can download a free RAM allocator, however I can say it won't help much if at all. Right now D3 is really bad at this, however only they can fix that, and it's Activision now so they probably don't even care.

on my i7 920 overclocked on 3,8 i noticed lag while changed all to 1 core runing 3 w/o lags but 60/70 of cpu usage while changed it was 30 but game had some graph lags
