Alternative solution for teamviewer?

someone posted a solution for a free remote control, but i am afraid i can't find it anymore.... :)

would be nice to find something with a bit more frames , teamviewer is sometimes really really slow, like 1 fps...

what do u use?

I use logmein. I can check my bots from my Iphone at work. Free app/download.
 
for some reason, teamviewer does not work on my win 7 laptop... im also looking for an alternative

For the first 10 mins i am able to use teamviewer to log into the remote laptop, but after that first 10 mins, i can not. It said my password is incorrect. when i look into the remote latop, it shows connecting, but never connects... I have removed the sleep, hibernate,harddrive shutdown, dimmer on the remote laptop. Im not sure what is causing this...
 
DBuddy - I posted it - it was Splashtop - its different league compared to slow logmein/teamviewer. Splashtop stream screen like classic streams so on average internet speed u have decent quality and framerate.
 
too bad splashtop don't work well with android... ended up using teamviewer again. :(

How about from pc to pc ? Is this for ipad only ?
 
nice to see a range of software products, might have to check out some of these
 
lowering team-viewer quality was a huge speed increase.

will also try Splashtop today evening, thanks all for the helpful feedback
 
anyone have a link for the splashtop windows client? I couldnt find it
 
google chrome has a remote desktop thing now, that might be worth a try.

Well I do not agree. TV or VNC clones use specific compresion methods (they assume a lot of screen is static - windows, tools - typical remote access deskotp). Splashtop is dedicated for gaming and it make hardcompressed stream for animated stuff - like stream u see on twich.tv etc. So when u compare TV/VNC/etc to Splashtop using D3 - u will see huge and I mean HUGE difference. Try:)
