Honorbuddy keeps crashing on "logging in" after update

Somebody suggested in another thread to switch WOW back to DX 9. They and I both are using Windows 8. I'm not sure if this is also a problem for Windows 7 users. I was wondering if the devs were going to fix the issue since Windows 8 was officially released last week.

clear your settings folder and try again

since you are on Win 8 you must use dx11

I updated to the most recent Honorbuddy and cleared the settings folder as you said and honorbuddy is still crashing while running WOW with DX11. When I switch to DX9 everything works fine. Is there a reason why I have to use DX11?

well if its working fine in dx9 mode then why try to fix something thats not broken, so stick with that.

as far as the log, you need to delete your settings folder as something there is corrupt.

I deleted everything in it for that log report. This time I deleted the actual folder itself and it still doesn't work. I saw another thread (http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorb...84071-honorbuddy-has-encountered-problem.html)

and did the following :
"Please follow these instructions exactly.

Uninstall ALL .NET Frameworks
Uninstall ALL C++ Redistributables
Restart your PC
Run this tool as ADMINISTRATOR - Honorbuddy Wizard

Hopefully this fixes the problem."

And the problem still exists for DX11. As for why not sticking to DX 9. It's true that it works fine but I keep reading to only use DX11 on Windows 8 yet for me it's theother way around. I prefer to use DX 11 because WOW was benchmarked to perform better with DX11 with capable DX11 cards.
