Windows 8 Support

Hey I am thinking to upgrading to Windows 8 but I dont want to use DX11 mode because it will need more GPU RAM which is bad. Does it work now in DX9 mode? Or should I stick with Windows 7?

Windows 8 works only in DX11 mode. Windows 7 supports DX9 mode. People who use the bot for raids and BG's should use W8 and DX11, as in DX11 mode the performance is much better, despite of increased VGA RAM consumption, which should only matter to people who run more bots at the same time, and even then, running the bot on minimal settings on lowest possible resolution with all WOW sound effects disabled should resolve all issues, as HB doesn't really care about resolution, since it uses memory reads and writes and not pixel scanning and click sending. Only important setting would be "View Distance", as sometimes if objects are not rendered, they may as well not load in memory and the bot may not realize that something should be up ahead and won't detect it.

in windows 7 if your video card supports it you can run in ETHER dx9 or dx11, windows 8 ONLY supports dx11.

as for the OP
Download and run this as an Administrator.
once you have that done restart your machine.
and you should be good to go provided you followed the rest of the steps in the setup guide.
