Is it just me or is item sales down?

Im feeling that the ah is dead atm, not many sales etc.
 
I can't even post anything right now, so maybe people can't buy things either?
 
Too much items on auction house and no enough buyer
 
Yeah it has been slowing down a lot after 1.05. Too much supply not enough demand out there, they need another patch asap.
 
Has anyone been getting these when it says heavy load at the moment then you try to put item for sale once more then when you cancel your item does not go to your canceled list so you cant send it to stash and it stays listed then when you try to cancel it says Attempt to cancel item name failed with error code 31006

seems no fix is about want to see what you fellow DB users advice to do in this scenario as you know wat we do to get our items should i contact blizzard support or just take the loss and learn for the future not to list after it gives the error
 
it happens man, items sales go up and down and the supply is flooding the market. after all, theres no real value to these virtual goods, its all about how much someone is willing to pay for it, and since its virtual, that price can go all the way down to free or nothing at all.

Just to add to CodenameG, price can also crash/hit rock bottom when someone or a group of people gains the ability to "print virtual items" at negligible cost to generate revenue, while creating sky high entry/barrier costs to other competitors, turning a "perfectly competitive market" into a "monopoly".
 
Been slowing down little by little ever since 1.0.5 hit. I already undercut the cheapest comparable item by a lot the first time I put the item up and then I gotta keep dropping the price 3-4 times before it even sells.

The sales have gone to shit lately, especially in the last 2 weeks.
I would say we need a major game overhaul soon, or we're all out of business.

I've made more than 650 mil the last two days, from sniping and reselling, and from a few lucky drops :P

I've even bought a new OH and a new Neck, and sold my old ones for almost the same price :P

So for me it's good times =) as i just hit 1 bil
 
If by "item sales down" you mean the AH is messed up currently, yeah seems like it, probably tied in to bnet's sites going down.

If you mean items are harder to sell, I'd say sort of. What people want changes pretty quickly so some things get hard to sell for a while, tis the nature of the beast

Seriously, theres no room to post "shit" up. Im well past 1 bil gold and stuff is selling but theres no denying that the market is slowing. 650m in 2 days, you definitely got lucky.
 
The Ah is still active put your items without buyout just let people bid - you'll see it's still pretty alive.

Getting personal spouts out doesn't do you justice.

The sales have been down by a lot, it's objective reality. Getting lucky once or twice with random snipes means nothing in correlation to sample sizes. Judging from my own experience, and feedback of other guys in this thread, everyone is experiencing a downfall; it's the nature of D3's economy to be deteriorating over time. Let's hope Blizzard comes up with something new before 1.1.

1bil (.48 *.70) = $336

I got more then that everyday for weeks after the last patch. Sales are going down for sure, no reason to buy anything since you can just dial down monster power and rofl stomp the whole game. Also doubling the drop rate un-did a part of the last patch. Legendarys are no longer legendary....

Legendaries are fucking useless. Stash getting overfilled again. I'm gonna up my starting price to 100,000 and if I don't see a bid within 3 hours, I'm cancelling and vendoring.
