does the bigred ciggarc cause bans?

botters really fail to understand what "luck" and "chance" is apparently, this is IB all over again. "what? you got banned? haha you suck i'm better than you and im rich" "what? i got banned? it must be the bots fault". I can't stress it enough. LUCK. CHANCE.

Im sorry but everything isnt chance. This is a digital online game, and its safe to say blizzard has some sort of server side filter. Any profile, if a large amount of users user use it for long enough, it might leave some sort of identifiable footprint. Nobody knows the details, but it isn't 100% chance. The sark bans were not chance, the profile was identified, and its not safe to bot today.

so you're saying my handleveled monk that hadn't even hit 2 hours on sark that got banned while my friend was going 24/7 and STILL to this day has his DH account active isn't chance? okay.

No dude, I agree that that F%cking weird and annoying. :(

but you're saying it's not chance and I couldn't disagree more, there's PLENTY of people on this forum that have lost characters botting 6-8 hours a day and plenty that have accounts still active with 2k+ hours and 24/7 botting. you can say blizzard has a way to ban accounts, maybe, sure, but that doesn't mean it's still not luck and chance who gets banned. if they DID have a system like you say that tracks blah and dickcheese and blah then why do so many people botting just as much and/or more then others, with the same profiles/setups, not get banned? luck....chance.... (I REALLY LIKE THOSE TWO WORDS. HERP DERP)

I definitely think their is a large amount of luck involved, but I also know blizzard clearly has the capacity to detect specific profiles from what we have seen in wow (such as uldum and the various others) and now d3 (zark and arreat profiles). I have no idea why they arn't more aggressive with the bans, maybe they just have alot on their plate or maybe they jay wilson team is just completely 100% retarded, but eventually you would think doing somthing about the bots would be a priority since we have pretty much been completely murdering the game with no opposition since launch for massive amounts of money.

that I agree with, but it's somewhat contradictory to what you said before about it not being luck etc and that Blizz has sure-fire ways of killing botters :) I'd write a better reply but I need to pass out, take care!

I still think you're more likely to get flagged if you're running 24/7 than if you're not - but that's just my speculation.
I'm not saying one way is better or not :P
You are most definitely MUCH more likely to get flagged if you bot unhuman hours. Anyone who thinks otherwise is deluding themselves.

PK, Sark runs were also dodgy because of how many games/hour they created, that might be why your monk got banned. Put it this way, if you bot a little, you have a chance of getting banned, if you bot 24/7 you will 100% absolutely get banned.

You know the saying, go big or go home.

Example:
You been botting 3 accounts for 1-2 months 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. Then finally all banned today!

Imagine the same duration since there hasn't been much bans posted for awhile:

You been botting 3 accounts for 1-2 months 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Then finally all banned today!

The outcome is still the same, but the profit margin gap is huge. No one knows if botting less or more will trigger bans/flags, but if you bot at all, you have a risk of getting banned (Banned % is unknown). Always bot with the mindset, i'm going get banned, so go all out. So when you do get banned, you won't be surprised =).

Running 24/7 here on several bots and not even one ban so far, but i have to use custom made profiles and some tweaks to bots behavior . I tried once to make some small suggestions to the public profile makes, but i got ignored. Blizzard wont ban you for running 24/7 but they surely will, if they CAN see your bot playing like a mindless robot.

I reckon these people got banned and now want others to get banned so they don't feel as bad about themselves.

There's some fixes that will make the bots look even more human-like that will be in the next pre-release but I am curious:
Do you guys actually think they are coordinate matching?
If so, why do you think so few of you got banned?

I mean I can keep making more versions of the profiles (donators current have access to B versions) but I honestly don't know the effectiveness of it!

the profiles don't cause the ban. but running the same profiles in order over and over probably did. they still haven't added profile randomization to radsatom, and they need to.

I actually disagree with this.
When I played D3 by hand, I had a farming route that I used every game.
All of my friends did the same.
What actual player uses a different order every game?
I don't think profile order would make a difference tbh.

there are endless conclusions to what actually caused the bans
but I do believe blizzard sometimes actually go check up on a random person and sees if they are botting
ohh and it doesn't mean they will ban you right on the spot
they make sure the botters earn money so they will purchase another account and bot again

Not trying to scare anyone but all bans don't go out at the same exact time. Last time they did a big banning spree, they did it over a 3-4 days to week period. More bans maybe any hour now may be on their way to people that didn't get hit yesterday. I'd keep anything really valuable on a safe account for a little while.

I'm still botting on all my accounts using one of our donator pre-release versions :)
It's BigRed 1.3.6.3 with additional B versions for more randomization.
I don't think the bans are profile related, but it's just my opinion!

Yea, It has nothing to do with the profiles. Sorry If it seemed like I was implying that it did. Was more of just a warning that more bans may be on the way but hopefully not! All they would really need to do is filter hours played/logged in and they could pretty much just take out all the hardcore botters.

How come no one mention about the hurricane Sandy....

It got my internet a bit laggy and diablo was lagging hard.. to the point my bot stands there and does nth for a few times yesterday(200-800 latency)

lag might be the problem
Ticks per second!
