I want to be able to play my main acc while my RAF bot acc is running. I don't have a second PC right now. Obviously blizz will know the IPs are the same, but my bot account was my housemates (I RAF'd him then he decided he didn't like WoW). I can blag if I get banned and say that we live in the same house therefore share an IP, so my main should be safe. I'm just worried that if I run two boxes on the same PC then they will know to link the two and ban my main.

na man they ban by IP address. May i suggest you set up a virtual machine and run a V-P-N from your botting account.

are u sure Nooblet ?
I'm not using the bot from my main account. I'm using it on a different account and I usually play on my main when the boot is doing his thing on the other account (running on the same computer, same inet conexion).
What are the odds to get banned on both accounts even If I only use bots only on one of em ?

I've been botting since glider, and usually run this kind of setup for my lazyraider setups, never been banned like this but ofcourse everyone is different

no they don't ban with IP adress...except if you bot with many computers with sharing ip

They don't. Even if they do, tell them it's a sibling or roommate. They got nothing on that.

They can associate game used on the same comp via local mac address or software ID. They can see it i'm sure. What i'm not sure but I guess, they do not care if many different computers are sharing the same IP.

They banned according to ips in the past and many many public gamers place and school networks were unjustly banned. They have been blamed for it and I guess they won't do that again..

VM is not a bad idea at all. Personally I get a dedicated comp for my bot and I manage it via remote local network(VNC)

Really, they are not banning via IP, that would be plain stupid and get many others banned. Just play normally with your main and do not attach to the WoW instance (play it 64bit for example) of your main.

they cant ban via ip - for the pure fact siblings etc and half of eu use cafe's and prob 80% of korea use cafes also;

i use 2 bot accounts and my main on same pc and no ban yet/ever but i think thats down to me being safe and not stupid and most of all not face trading/trading/selling gold etc

Lol i only said they ban by IP address because i live with 3 poeple who play wow and i was the only one who used a Bot.(not HB) and all of our accounts were banned for using 3rd part programs so i know what the fuck i'm talking about.

On the other hand if you use it sparingly and monitor it then the chances of you getting banned are slim to none.

I play on my main whilst botting on the same pc, doesn't bother me. Never had a problem but then I don't bot for hours at a time, just a bit of farming to keep me ticking over.

They may not ban by IP, but they can sure link multiple accounts to the same IP and ban that way.
