It's a legitimate tactic, I've used it even when not botting.

If you want to drive people out of the market, save up in bulk and just drop a hundred stacks or so on 48hr. That literally sets a roof, unless someone feels like buying you all out.
Do that a few more times, and people start quitting.
 
Tactic?? Thats what is killing the AH. Right now a ton of people are undercutting him, And later when the retard bot boyz comes on they will drive the price down even lower.

We're at 16-19g an ore on my realm.

Back to topic, That user could be a legit or a botter, you don't know. They could have also saved up a lot and dropped it like dude said. The only thing that does screw up is everyone undercutting each other by like 50% and shit. That's rediculouse, even 100% mark downs. My server isn't too bad though, and since it's a pvp server, gold is easier to make. But everyone there buys there gold, well except for the botters, haha. I have almost 4k mail that I have to loot and it's all gold. I loot my mail at the end of each month though just for kicks.

If I put up ores at an undercut of 5 silver, and not even two minutes later someone already undercuts me by another 5 silver, that annoys the hell out of me.

I return the favor by then listing all my stacks at 2/3 the price. I bot for personal gain so it is all a profit for me, and I did it because it was really annoying. If you want to continually undercut me just slightly, be ready to take a hit.

yeah... youre the one taking the hit. he gets to sell all of his after your 33% discounted ore gets sold. who loses? you do.
 
No, I don't have to sit around trying to undercut by 5 silver.

I can actually, you know, play the game.
 
don't worry they will get whats coming to them, i give accounts like that 2 weeks
 
sitting around with product that doesnt sell because of continues undercutting is also bad. Want to flip my stuff to gold asap so I can focus on the next thing!

Why does he lose? He sells his ores, can farm another 100 stacks in 12 hours - and then do the same all over. The guys loosing are the ones who dont sell cause they overcharge and get undercut.
 
dont whine this is since the game first started even without bots people undercut each other to sell it quicker
 
Well it is kind of annoying. but yeah. thats the way it is.
But what I find more annoying that people posting 100+ stakcs of 20. is those who post 100+ stacks of 1 fucking item. gahh those are annoying.
both for those who want to buy several stacks. and for those tho would like to sell theyre stuff in stacks.
