So I decided it was time to learn how to make a profile

I'd like to not run a profile that everyone else uses, I'd like to take advantage of the random dungeons. I can't do either of these without a break down of the tags and their usage. This isn't an unreasonable request.

I'm not being rude or demanding about it I don't understand why clowns like alfajr feel they need to post these useless post in others people threads that are trying to be constructive.

Wasn't there a plugin which helped you create a custom profile? Forgot what its called but you maybe able to start from there once you find it.

With the post you've linked and this one http://www.thebuddyforum.com/demonb.../73952-trinity-v1-6-new-profile-xml-tags.html, you could do anything within your profile.
If you understand XML or any structured language like C you will use the same logic.
Best way to learn is looking other people profiles and when you get how its done you can enhance your profile reading this http://www.thebuddyforum.com/demonb...ting-multipath-profiles-new-trinity-tags.html

I'd like to take advantage of the random dungeons and the ability to randomly explore static dungeons. None of the tags associated with Random Dungeons has any direct documentation that I can find. Your best option is to dissect Kickz profiles. Which still doesn't give a break down of what the tag is, just shows one usage for that tag.

I really don't think this should be something I have to beg for. The tags are listed in release .204 without examples. These tags have been implemented for weeks now. I get this isn't wal-mart and the customer is not always right. But it's not an awful lot of work to gather the tags into one post. I would do it myself if I understood the tags and their usage.

I guess my question is, is it really too much to ask for to have a breakdown of the tags available to me to use with the bot I use? We have a sticky dedicated to "All available profile tags". Yet for me to get ALL the tags and usage examples I must search through release notes, dissect other profiles, and use the thread that is supposed to help me make a profile.

I'm not trying to be demanding or lazy and if I come off that way I apologize. It's very hard to start learning something when your study material is written by multiple authors with multiple ways of thinking and writing.

Yes but I believe it only supports static dungeons and way point style navigation.

I have to agree. Could the buddy team PLEASE update the documentation on XML tags? It's all good and well looking at what others have done in their profiles, but this is not nearly the best way of doing it. Their XML may be out of date, and not everything available is necessarily covered in their existing ones. A sticky with all XML tags (and if there is time, a detailed explanation on what the tag and relevant parms do) would be greatly appreciated.

Can we get a response on whether or not this is something we can expect in the future.

I have to agree with you, we need that thread updated.

i know its already too late, but dont get your hopes up. the dungeon explorer is still a huge pile of shit. after spending weeks of testing trying to get profiles running flawlessly using it, i eventually gave up because its so unreliable and inefficient.
