They are aware of the issue with the website being slow (which probably has something to do with the bot aswell)

Seems like the devs have given up on HB, hope there wasnt a bliz buyout
What in the world are you talking about? It has been working for a good while now in MoP. Just because an authentication server goes down for SMALL amount of time doesn't mean HB has been bought out...seriously....think.

It doesn't seem like anything is down oddly, just like the HB server lagging immensely or something of the sort.

If you guys would quit botting, then the server could catch up so that I could bot. :-)

I see nobody here knows about "DDoS".... Google it, and blizzard are probably doing it to the site.

If Blizzard would target this site they would target it legally, but since there is nothing illegal with creating a bot (only using it) they cant do shit. and they would not go on with an ddos attack on a bot site, lol..

HB are probably just experiencing server issues, they had the same problem a few weeks back and we can do nothing more than supporting the devs and wait it out.

DDoS'ing is illegal, would be funny if Blizz did it. But I doubt it.
Could be a member here though :O *tinfoil hat on!*

I lol'd.

People (Even companies) are so quick to scream DDoS/DoS nourdays, it's becoming a buzzword synonymous with 'Da server gone durp'.
Dunno if the HB team actually has a dedicated web/server guy or if they just muddle though but this site has always looked to me a bit like a 'stock' VB install.

Anyway I'll just leave this here...

(Not suggesting this is a direct solution, only that there's a lot of things that could be done to help offload the server a lot... well... unless they went for a windows server, in which case 'hurp')

The website being slow could be anything.

For example, the web server could be experiencing problems or could be 'stressing out' (there's plenty of people online now...). When the websites not at it's peak the speed is fine.

It is amusing to read through some of these threads... its almost a 50/50 split between mature users with logic in their posts, and the "omg the sky is falling" people who seem to put no thought or logic into what they type..
