Trinity misreading loot (when stashing/trashing)?

I watched Trinity do a town-run, and he trashed all items, including boots, which the junklog says were:

Armor - Boots 'Trail Ichor'. Score = 7976
Vitality=74. Pickup Radius=7. +All Resist=63. Armor=125

But they also had 98 Strength on them. So why isn't it showing it, and I think that with Str those boots were at least worth something. But what I'm more worried about is the fact that Str isn't showing up in the junklog? Does it mean it misread the item?

It doesn't always show all stats - often because they scored too low, but there may be some quirk with the stat display string not displaying everything it should be. Even with 90+ strength, no, those boots wouldn't have been worth the stash space or the time/effort to list it on the AH and wait hoping to sell them for 50k gold, so you really aren't missing out on anything.

The only time I see DB *REALLY* struggle with mis-reading data on items is if you stop-start-stop the bot frequently on one run (DB's caches seem to get screwed and mess everything up), which is why I'd always avoid either starting the bot from the character screen, or making sure you have exited and re-loaded DB before starting it if already in-game. (pausing is fine anytime, it's actually stopping-starting that messes stuff up).

My advice to anyone botting is: Let it bot. Let it pick things up. Let it stash stuff. And sell whatever is particularly valuable, and if your stash is filling up quicker than you can AH stuff, higher your item scores. But don't spend hours every day analyzing item drop stats or junk logs trying to find the odd item that may have been missed, because A: There are little quirks in memory reading, DB, and probably here or there within Trinity itself now and then which cause issues and B: It kind of defeats the point of having a bot do all the work for you if you spend just as much time worrying about the little things as you would playing the game :D

I'd consider anything up to 5% to be "acceptable loss" - and generally with Trinity I find it messes up less than 0.5% of missed items (and they are often a combination of items dropped in really unlucky locations, items dropped just before your character dies and your profile manager skips to the next profile, and the rarer memory-issues which prevent DB even acknowledging the item can be picked up til you stop-start). And same for the odd item stat mis-read (though I've never seen any item-stat misreads myself aslong as the bot is started correctly from the character screen and left uninterrupted).

Thanks for the lengthy reply Giles. I'm not losing faith in Trinity, don't you worry, but just figured it was weird and worth mentioning.

Also, I was just wasting time at work, so that's why I was watching the bot :P Usually I'm to busy though ;)
