Firstly if the mods are not happy with this thread, be it the discussion, in the wrong section or anything along hose lines i apologize in advance..

but i figured id start a little poll to hopefully silence all those morons that are going on about a "banwave".. and that botting is as "safe" as it always has been! You stand just as much chance of being banned today as you did yesterday, a week ago, a year ago, and you stand just as much a chance of being banned tomorrow, a weeks time, a years time.. and please, for all those worriers out there..

Still Going

Have 6 accounts still running along just fine. Four are leveling characters from levels in the 40 up to 85 (nothing in the new Panda area). The other 2 are farming Twilight and Hyjal. Run them about 4 to 8 hours at a time and I usually watch 85%+ of that time.)

well after 10mins its currently 3 banned to he 25 not.. think that summarises it all really, the next person to even remotely suggest the "B" word should be shot
 
I was banned today, problem was RAF time being bought and not being paid by the seller.
There is no problem with HB.

Botting is safe? are you on *****? you take a risk everytime you bot. If you get banned its your own fault
 
I saw the Banned forum and went to check my bots' e-mail addresses (haven't hopped onto any botting accounts yet today), might have been a bit concerned because I've been botting 12-16 hours/day the past couple of weeks getting some new accounts going via RAF. Nothing, no notices on any of my accounts.
 
No bans here. According to the current poll , 90% have not been banned.
 
You could technically call this a ban "wave", but maybe more like a ripple.

This has absolutely nothing to do with Honorbuddy itself, however.
It has everything to do with all other aspects of botting, other than the bot itself being detected.

Player reports, AH, Automated systems, other shit that Blizz tries to use against us all.


So for now, It is a Ban Ripple, and barely one at that.

Only banned once at that was when Gatherbuddy was caught by mistake. Still have multiple accounts going.. Bot smart!
 
I was banned today on one of my farming accounts.

I'm sure it was just a report sweep, I've had a few whispers on that account in the last month simply saying 'reported' while the bot was gathering

People were still convinced I was a bot even after I whisper them back. The bot does 'derp' a bit trying to get to awkward herbs (spinning on the spot etc), so it's pretty hard to convince people you're not a bot after they see that...
 
Since I use Sharp Messenger to answer every single whisper I am safer than ever.
