i've been using gatherbuddy and i'm still not banned, maybe it's because i don't do it for retarded hours or use public profiles like everyone else?

Well, maybe not a banwave, it's not really a common things.
If it was only bans for reporting, we would have 1-2-3/x bots ban. Here, all my accounts who were botting today have been banned. Same for some others.

they suspend at first
lock, 72h ban (suspension) or perma ban are different things

if you say so....

there is no rule that the first violation will be handled with a suspension, it can be a perm ban aswell...

but yeah people botting for a longer period of time, or people really spending time reading different forums know that by now.

others call the periodical bans as banwaves and think they are safe if their account was not suspended before...

Botting since I'm registered on this forum, got this account banned once for abuse of economy 1/2 year ago, got it back, going strong since then .

I'd call "today events" Banhammer swing, defo not a Banwave.

A banwave implies that the bot was detected.

What happens is that there's a new expansion out and old zones have people from multiple realms, so there's a ton of people out there. Couple that with the fact that flightor has sucked since it was redone 6 months ago (why fix something that isn't broken is beyond me), and now you don't even have to follow someone into a fight to tell if it's a bot or not, you just have to see them fly around for 30 seconds.

We're not detected, we're just way more noticeable, and in turn, reportable.

Please do not create threads stating there is/was a banwave.
