New at HB, need help with first time setup issue.

Dear HB'ers. Today i tried to install for the first time since I'm eager at getting started with HB. It told me to launch wow.exe directly from the folder since it's 32-bit. Only problem is when I swap to my desktop to start up HB.exe, my wow crashes with an error 132# (Does not happen in 64-bit).
I have cleared cache and disabled all addons.

I have attached a screenshot of my error, what am I doing wrong? hb bug.webp

Try right clicking on the WoW.exe file and opening as admin real quick.

Do the same for HB.exe

disable any wow addons and clear your wow cache
 
Dear newguy, if i do that - it results in this typical windows error:

do you have Eslwire installed on your machine?
 
Alright, let's start over. This is the way I got it to work:

1.) go to the LAUNCHER. That would be the thing that pops up and says "Play" on it.
2.) Up at the top of the launcher, you will see "Options".
3.) Go to that and then select "Preferences".
4.) Check the box that says "Launch 32bit".
5.) When you hit the "Play" button, it should launch the client in 32 bit mode without an issue. If you have dual monitors, run full screen windowed mode for an easier time clicking out of the client.
6.) Delete everything you have on honorbuddy. Throw out the entire folder.
7.) Create a new folder and name it whatever you'd like to name it. Just don't name it HonorBuddy or anything similar. I placed mine in a folder on my desktop.
8.) Download the most up to date HB which can be found here
9.) Extract it to the folder you just created.
10.) Double click HB.exe AFTER you've logged into WoW and logged on to a character.
11.) Log into HB.

So what do I do now? I'm looking at a PDF-guide that tells me something about getting a profile, where can I find a profile that farms honor in BG's for me? (Im level 90 on Stormwind alliance) :) Thanks again

Hb will auto load the profiles it needs for pvp,no need to load something
 
Yeah. What Tony said. Just switch it over to the correct bot and enjoy. It should've come preloaded with some profiles but I believe BGBuddy does not use profiles. I don't pvp much so I am of no use there.

Glad you got it rolling. Welcome to the family.

I would recommend checking out some different CCs for pvp depending on your class.

Combat Routines

Is a good place to start. Most (if not all) of those CCs have instructions on where to put their files. You will choose a CC upon beginning HB which will be used as your combat mechanisms. I would definitely recommend anything FPSware or Tuanha has done. Especially if you have a monk. Tuanha's CC is absolutely the greatest for monks.

So say I want it to farm AV, I clicked BGBuddy at the top selection bar, then Load Profile.
It gives me: "Changing current profile to Alterac Valley"

It's been like that for 5 minutes and nothing really happens, my wow char is not moving at all??
 
Unfortunately, as I said, I am not much of a pvper. I will leave that one to some of the more experienced BG users here. Glad I could help, though!
 
OMG I managed to make it work! This is just so beautiful!... Magnificent, my huntard is running around pwning while im sleeping.. all the time i have wasted on farming honor in previous expansions. I LOVE YOU GUYS.
 
Enjoy and just an FYI that I have heard with BGs: Don't be 100% AFK when running HB for BGs. You can go have a life, but I wouldn't leave it up and running for hours on end. That stuff will get you noticed.

So today, when I tryed to start up. The same thing happened.

I tried following your guide again, by redownloading and it worked (kinda). But this time i get this screen honor problem again.webp

Help any1?
 
I also got this (in 32-bit wow version)

Please restart Honorbuddy and choose a valid instance of WoW to use Honorbuddy with!
This version of Honorbuddy only supports WoW Build #16057
You are currently on build #16057
 
Reinstalled HB 3 times, and now it works.
Apparently i have to reinstall multiple times, everytime I want to use HB, thats wierd huh?
 
next time just clear the settings folder
