Points and levels?

i see a new level and point system on the left and im curious what it is all about. what do you do to get points?

my guess a rating system to try to get the community involved in helping other users to take the load off of the admin so they can keep doing there great work, while others help support them and get special little points to make themselves feel good?

Reach level 5 - 5000g on your WoW account.
Overall activity >80% - 1 month of another session.
Points - 100000 - WoW account with all expansions.

We could do something like that, or just leave it as it is.
