The log files for the current, and some of the older version of HB, includes your character name.
As you can see on the picture, it's a screenshot on my log file.
Blue = Another character that buffed me, or buffed himself.
Red = My character.

So please, before uploading your logs, follow these steps for your own safety.
1) Open your logfile with notepad/wordpad or whatever text editor you're using.
2) Search for your character name (CTRL+F in most applications)
3) Remove all the matches you find.
4) Upload your log and get support for your problem.

Please, keep this topic alive so everyone can see it!
Feel free to +rep me and like the post as well, if you wanna make me happy :)

Thank you kindly for the heads up.

No problem.

A word from an developer would be good. Maybe tell us why our character names suddenly are being logged in the first place?

Will be fixed, unintended byproduct is all of some requested functions from cc/profile devs that were requested. I will fix this asap.

I posted about this in another thread. The results are cached by Google and you can found your WoW character's name without even posting a log if it's in another's log.

IMHO, you should not upload ANY profiles right now, since it also shows everytime someone in your guild logs in and out, and can be narrowed down via a quick search to find out what server/faction/guild you are in. VERY VERY baaaaad.

Even if you turn off guild notifications? Would it log it then?

Idk tbh, I play with them turned on. Give it a whirl and see.

Can we have a setting to turn off logs period? after 2-3 days of botting my log folder is almost a gig

uhh ... this seems like valid proof. .. how about all the logs posted in the past x amount of time

It depends on when I can get my fixes done. Hopefully soon.

Thanks for the respons.
I guess this thread can stay open for people that's concerned though.
