So im just gonna throw it out here in a poll basicly.

I got semi good gf gear on my wiz and can pop 310-320k gph over a 10 hour period.

I got quite good act 1 farming gear ( but low MF, 130 mf with 5 stacks) and i could propably farm act 1 endlessly atm, not yet strong for act 3 though.

what would YOU do to get maximum profit?

A 3 inferno m8, A3 inferno... Go buy 50M gold and get yourself a 50k dps barb. In 3 days (after some paragon lvl 20-30 you will start selling 30M+ set pieces/legendaries.

A must list:
-Barbarian - cheapest to gear and most effective imo.
-Stormshield (very important, especially vs those phase beasts, they will tear you appart combined with witches (-50% armor debuff) ).
-1k all res, 1.1k fire/arcane - even 1.2 is not overkill here, belllow 1k you will die in *every* fight against ranged elites/champs that are molten, unless wotb is up.
-60k hp
-at least 60k dps buffed (marauder rage, weapon master, ruthless included)

Farm act 1, gain paragon levels and sell decent rares/legendaries you might find, get gear for act 2, sell shit, get gear for act 3, etc. I'm pretty sure gold farming is dead right now, and you're a lot more likely to get caught versus champion farming.

As soon as you can get to Act 3 farming status the better. I found an Inna's Vast Expanse (chest) that rolled highly, sold for 350 mil. That was with 375% MF though.

50Mil Gold will only get you a 50k dps glass-cannon/sword barb that dies every time it get surrounded by even white trash mobs.

With the state of "Invalid Session" errors, I won't even want to bot champions at all.
 
Gold farming is more of a stable income while item farming is more akin to gambling but may be more worth it.

Have a look if you don't wanna waste time leveling a barb. Check out the thread for gearing up Wizards in A3. If you're not keen on buying gold, farm for some gold before gearing up.

Also both Bertrand and mephuser are full of shit. You can't get that kind of stats with 50m as mentioned by Bertrand, but you can gear a barb that is able to smoothly; although probably without any mf, do A3 with 50m.

I'm running Champ farms on Act 1 to gather some Paragon levels to get ready for patch 1.0.5 and Monster Power.

For 50m i will build you rend sword&board barb that will kill melle elites in 10 secs without wotb.

Actually I'll take back what I said about Bertrand, he may be right but I'll have a hard time believing if there's any MF in the build. Sorry dude. Mephuser is full of shit though.
 
You are right though, no mf, and ench gear not included here. I actually spent like 4-5M on ench only, grand vizier costs 2-3M, and offc you want intel + 18/40mf on jewlery, and intel+ vit on focus.
 
lolol people spending 50M to gear a single act 3 barb, no wonder the economy is crashed.
 
50m to most guys farming act 3 in < 40min = chump change, whats to lolol about.
 
gold farming 600k gph using those long act 3 profiles, so I have heard.

Those are very rare.. My most expensive item Ive found is a tal rasha amu that sold for 200m. Im running with 10 bots and getting 7 ilvl63 rares per hour with each bot. If you run with only one bot expect dont expect to get these items more than maybe once per 2 months or more
 
have 10 farmers (each 400k~420k gph) pure gold and 3 act3 farming barbs running. 5-7 death per hour, was farming act1 before but after 4 days straight nothing usefull went to act3 after investing a little bit into them found 2x manticore dual socket, skorn leach and strengh and other awesome rare items sold them for gold earned two times more with 3x barbs in 5 days than my gold farmers...
 
if your going to champ farm, id stick with only a3 and if you cant do a3 yet, do gold farming until you can afford gear for a3.

Once you have the right gear down, with high enough paragon, youll be able to farm ~400k gph in a3 while champ farming.
 
why not do both and farm act 1 champ packs and gold farm it. I do about 350k a hour atm on a barb with 24% movement speed, 286gf before NV, 6 pick up radius using Ciggarc's act 1 profile. Mind you my WD that is running Act 3 champs is getting 280k a hour without any gold find / pick up radius but it is also lvl 60ish paragon.
 
280k an hour is equivalent to to about 17 cents an hour? ballers. why do ppl still farm gold?
 
I never understood the people like mephuser that say 50M won't get you anything and bertrand that say you need over 1k resists. I have two barbs I made for 20-30 mill each that have 0 deaths an hour, rare death every now and then, both different stats, one with high LOH the other with just a shit ton of damage and buffed 700 all resists (never dies, he actually dies 1-2 times a day, the 1100 resist barb i have with LOH dies more).
