Tony you have already locked a thread about windows 8 saying this:

we will support the final official release of Win8

since its already answered like 100 times,i will close this thread

You clearly mistaken because the RTM IS THE FINAL OFFICIAL release of Windows 8. And it has been out officially for almost 2 months now.

Let me give you some quotes from the devs that promised windows 8 compatibility.

we only support RTM

We don't support beta software (never have, never will). Once Win8 becomes RTM, we'll definitely add support for it.

Aug 15th we'll look into adding support. Don't worry :)

Edit; make that Aug 16th. (15th if the other devs add it before I do. I'll be at a Blues Traveler/Barenaked Ladies concert!)

I said we'd start working on support for Win8 when it hit RTM availability on technet (the 15th of August ] for those of you who seem to be completely ill-informed of the dates). That's 10 days ago. Apparently, 10 days is a month somewhere. Where exactly that is, I have no idea.

Still nothing Tony. Windows 8 is and has been out of BETA and into the final official RTM release stage for almost 2 months now. And your devs have said repeatedly that they will look into it from august 15th and still nothing yet.

Please update it soon...

only ignorant people would want them to spend time getting windows 8 support over fixing other bugs. No one installs RTM software you gotta be a fool to do it especially windows.

What do you mean nobody installs RTM software lmao. Then what do YOU install?? You realise RTM is the final release build of anything you install right?

And then OEMs like to add junk and bloatware into the software and package it as their installation CD.

That is not the problem raised here anyway, they said august 15th they will start adding support and it's been over a month.

Most people wait for the first service pack or a few updates into the product especially windows.

Windows 8 RTM works great for me though. Yes Vista fucked things up but Microsoft learnt from it.

Windows 8 feels like more faster , responsive, smooth and better than windows 7 :D
Havn't had one BSOD or error so far even though i've been running it 24/7 due to botting.

And you get used to the lack of windows start menu pretty quick

No start menu!? :o

I've had this Win 7 running for the past few years, no BSODs for me.

A fresh installation will always seem faster and more responsive :) To be fair, the only thing that is slower for me now than it was on a fresh install is the booting time, probably takes extra 5 seconds now.

Win 7 pretty perfect as is, I'd wait for SP1 at least before going to Win 8. If it ain't broken, don't fix it.

Metro is actually pretty cool and useful once you get the hang of it Meh i disagree; that kind of attitude of if it ain't broken, don't fix it has never helped humanity evolve and advance. All the technology and advancement you see in the world currently is due to the people who think if it ain't broken, let's try to improve it!

I was already running a fresh installation of windows 7 before i upgraded. Windows 8 is faster and more responsive

There are plenty of new features in Windows 8 that i find useful that are not in windows 7. Like the new task manager, mounting ISO, fully hardware accelerated for all windows graphics interface, faster startup etc.

People are always reluctant to change from something they are familiar with to something very new.

Eh, I'd probably make it look like Windows 7 anyway, so no point upgrading for the time being.

It's as simple as right now I'm not having any computer issues. If I upgrade, I will possibly have issues.

Even for compatibility's sake, you should wait for SP1 or better yet, SP2.

I always like having the latest version of everything :D

That's why i got bit in the ass for updating demonbuddy to 250...

Hehe, yeah, same normally. The new task man does look awesome, I gotta admit. BTW, did you upgrade to 8 from 7 or did you do a fresh install? If you upgraded, did you run into any issues?

Nah i did a fresh install but backed up my important files. I always do a fresh installation for windows products.

Intel CEO tells staff Windows 8 isn't ready for release

Intel CEO has spoken. It doesn't matter whether it's Ghibi or Jinny posting from a tor onion prxy server.

RTM was released August 15th

Refer to these quotes:
