not sure how the warden memory system works.

But say if im botting with gatherbuddy on one WoW window on a random account and somehow it was detected does this put my main account which im playing on a different wow window at the same time at risk? or is it only the account you bot on.

Thanks in advance.

Quick answer: No

Two Accounts, so your Main should be safe

Better answer: its possible

No one really knows for sure, but chances are pretty good that if there is a detection on GB, both instances of WoW may be flagged.

my answer:with Blizz you never know:p

I think its worth pointing out that the way in which HB works makes it quite difficult to trace with Warden much more difficult than other methods of botting anyway (in my limited understanding anyway). Cases where people have been banned are through reports etc.

If its on the same computer at the same time, then both accounts get banned. If you were around 2 years ago when Glider had its last banwave, lots of man accounts were nailed that way. One poor guy even had Glider running in background while his wife played on her main account and she never knew! His posts about how angry she was were pitiful but it made me laugh.

diff wow window? <--- same IP?, same mac?
id say your chances are better than average

How does this effect if you have also main account that you play (legitly) on the same computer, but not the same time.

Consensus seems to be that you are more at risk than someone who uses a separate computer, but less so then using the bot at the same time. There is no hard and fast evidence that IP or MAC address comes into play when Blizz bans people. If Warden detects the bot then I don't think it will matter because any account that was running with the bot up and running will probably be flagged. With that said there has no evidence to give any indication that GB/HB is failing Warden checks.

Going to use a different computer for botting now, thanks for the advice.

Yeah but can't be to safe. main accounts are worth serious coin.

I remember last time my botting account got banned hit for economy "botted 24/7 prettymuch" when i was using pirox my main account that i ran at the same time never got banned but i guess that's because warden has yet to pick up these bots.

requires a more than decent PC to run multiple bots, but if you are running one go for the 30 day trial VM ware.. unless you have a key.. SHARE :D

That's because it detected it running in the memory on her account right?, just checking to see if im on the right track.

Yeah it can def happen, I was botting on my account with glider back when that ban-wave happened. My bro only did one raid on my comp: my 6 accounts got banned as well as his rouge with /played 350+ days and both warglaves.. he was the first on the server to have them. it got ugly haha

so yes.

Were your bots going at the time he used your computer?

Trying to figure out if you use a tagged account on the same computer at the same time I.E running yourself threw a instance "no bots or anything running" if that can cause your other account to get banned or is the only time this happens when the program is running in the memory and warden picks it up on your other account that isn't botting and flags it.

I bot to sell gold and many times came home to having my 2 or 3 running accounts banned. This happened to me several times and I eventually got angry, wondering how EVERY TIME all of them always got hit with the ban hammer. If it was reports... not all of them would have been reported, and why would all of them go down at the same time. Eventually, I thought they if one is reported and a GM investigates it to have a look at it, but at the SAME TIME while investigating sees another active account running off of the same IP, he will likely check that one out and see if it is also botting, and will ban it if it is. It made sense in my case, as ALL of my accounts always went down together.

Now, I run each account through a different IP. If one gets banned, the others do not. Now if I come home to a ban, only one is banned and the other(s) are still running fine without a problem. So from that point on, that is the way I do it - each account running off of a different IP and I don't have any problems.

Interesting...

i think the smart thing to do would be to run WoW in VMware with your bot.

it creates a virtuel machine allowing the use of diff os on the same comp. so i can run lets say oracle on my pc and play wow at the same time.
but how does that impact on ip or mac?

as to comp power - i got one running on a 6 year old office lap top
-- lousy latencies, but the bot dont care:)

you do not need a good computer to bot more than one account. i used to run 6 bots on my old crappy computer which was 2.6 duel core 2 gig ram 65mb graphics card lol

now i run 12 on my new computer 2.8 quad core 8 gig ram 1gig graphics and can still play combat arms and many more :)
could prolly bot 20 on this computer
