Looting before joining bg

im doing Mixed and my character walks up to an herb, then the bg is ready, and it just sits there in front of the herb for 8seconds and joins the bg without looting. does the same for monsters.... how do i make loot higher priority than bg queue?

yes and this is the right procedure

the delay is a "protection" for your toon,in order not to be the raid leader
also if Bg window pops Hb aborts all other activities in order to keep your toon out off combat
