What I mean is that you are giving bad reasons for something; your case is not well-argued. Your reason for wanting a ~15 minute download is that you do not want to wait 5 minutes (exaggerated) once everytime you change area.
Let me give you another example; you want a bot that does everything for you but you want to tell it how to do it. What was the point in the first case?

The point would be that people who find the default settings work for them are fine with it and don't need to bother with anything else, but the people that want to configure it can do.

And that's what we try to do for most things, but some things are just stupid and unneeded to make configurable. We only make the things that have an actual impact on the running bot configurable.
