I want to run multiple copies of D3 on this laptop. (3 at the same time)
However, when I run TWO copies right now, my fps on both screens is around 60, then a few minutes later, the FPS will drop to 30 on both screens for whatever reason.
I don't think its my GPU, its pretty high end as far as laptop cards go, I think it has something to do with the low amount of RAM that came with my Alienware (6g).
What would you do if you were me?

Current Laptop Stats-

radeon 6970m gpu (2 gigs dedicated ram I think)
intel i7 2630 QM @ 2.0 ghz
6gigs ddr3 ram (low)

upgrade my laptop for 8 gigs more ram, which is pretty cheap, idk if it will up my FPS, but 6 gigs I have right now is on the low side for sure, since windows 7 takes 1.5gigs by itself I think. SO I would have a total of 14gigs of ram after upgrade.

OR

Get a desktop computer that can run 3 copies of diablo3 at once. (The long-term, more permanent solution.)

You dont need amazing FPS

I can run 4 D3 bots just fine at about 70% cpu usage on a laptop with similar specs.

whats your fps on each screen?
I think the bots could run fine, but if I was playing on one of the windows I wouldnt be able to do it at 20-30 fps lol

Eww, you actually Play D3?

Just set the max FPS on your bots to around 15 or 20.

For your bots, turn off all sounds. Set graphics options to the lowest settings and 800x600 resolution. Set foreground and background to 20 fps. You should notice a big drop in cpu usage. Demonbuddy's cpu usage will spike up when there are lots of mobs on the screen.

my issue has mysteriously seemed to go away lol.
even tested with 3x diablo3's open and they all stay at 48 fps, which is good enough for me.
This problem was only occuring in Dalghur Oasis, in normal mode for some reason...
I just played through it on Nightmare mode, while my bot was going in background, and i had no fps drops whatsoever on either screen............... weird.
