DK Starting Quests

Anyone working on this? Just to get out of the starting zone. I absolutely hate doing them, and they are boring as all get out.
 
Those quests need to be done by hand as they include vehicles and other mounted objects.

Not all of them. There are other bots that can do the majority of the starting area quests, there are only a few that need to be done by hand.

I think it was said before that the starting area couldn't be meshed for some reason (no sure)?

If so, its probably because the battlefield changes over time... which is kinda hard to mesh it when it does that =P
 
You cannot do them because many require using objects or funny things (think about the skeleton drake mount) and you need to use teleporters, which breaks HB nav.

HB can use teleporters fine as long as I add the teleporter to the mesh.
 
Interesting I didn't know that. Once again the Naviator gives us the scoop.
 
Other bots can do 90% of the DK quests... hopefully HB can one day
 
any updates on this? Please tell me there is some DK staring quest profile? :))
 
its very complex and i think its a low priority imo. There are much higher priority things that the devs need to be doing other than messing around w/ the DK area. for a whopping 3-4 levels.

As far as the other bots go... i would assume its the old school "input and repeat" vs logic / mesh?

ie: you go and do the quests and then the bot does exactly what you did, correct? Logic is a lot harder than that =(

but hopefully one day they can... as my DK is still in the starting zone (well, 1 of them. the other is 80)
 
I would like to start a DK due to their already level 55 and getting to 80 will be quicker. Was wondering if i got out of the starting area and just used a normal grinding profile this would work wouldn't it? Cheers,

You have to finish the quests in order leave the area, and after that u can use normal profiles :)
 
I understand this, but what i really mean is if i got out of the area by no-cliping out the zone, i could then use a normal grinding profile like 1-60 couldn't i? Cheers,

Some guy was making a plugin that did complete the first quests. However I don't think it will be released, if you want to talk to him hes in the blogs somewhere.

You still need to do the quests in order to get your talent points (at least you did when I leveled my DK, correct me if I am wrong)
 
Thanks rose will see if i can get hold of him. Okay GameR, i didn't realise this so your saying if i exited the area at level 55 i wouldn't have all the talent points available to the DK? or has it changed since the latest patch? Cheers,
