Got banned last week. Was just thinking to stop gold farming and move to champion farming. Was looking at AH for MF gear even..... Well, stuff happens.

Auto it sarkoth. But slow private profile (55/15 second cycle) Hit the input game limit warming with some of the accounts while testing but did not run extensive once the limit was enabled.

yes 2 of them

Americas and Europe


I think I began selling too much gold per day. that's what got two of them. Leveling up with the Queen profile got the third one probably.
All accounts were on the same IP. Used VMs, some the optimized W7 iso, some vanilla W7 ultimate.
Two other leveling accounts did not get banned were at level 8. the one that got banned was at level 12 already.

How long were you botting on the 3 that were banned? And i'm guessing you transferred all your gold to 1 character directly today or recently? I bet that was what triggered the flag.

What level was the third one and did you waypoint or transfer gold to/from it?

Two were 60 for 4 - 6 weeks. One did not have RMAH the other one did. I was selling gold from RMAH one on a daily basis around 10 - 20 mil/ day. I think
Third one was 12 hours old. just hit lvl 12. I think they were banned for different reasons.

I had 3 more chars running at the time that did not get banned. One lvl 60 that was selling on the RMAH as well and two that were leveling (level 7, 8).

That's extremely interesting. I hope you don't mind if I bombard you with some questions.

Are you item-farming or gold-farming?
Do you use 1 character to invite all other 3 characters to town and just receive gold from each one via trade?
Do you use VMWARE/***'s/IP-changers etc?
How many bots do you have and do they each have an authenticator?
How many hours per day do you bot?

Also you seem to have a lot of experience so what do you think is triggering the bans? Could it be they already know who the bots are but just haven't got around to checking them yet manually, sort of like a lottery where the winners get banned.

One of the banned yes the other with different profiles but extremeley slow ~ two weeks (4-6) hours/day not everyday.

In the report 14 - 18 hours/day: sometimes off for 2 -3 days. Other days 18 hours straigth. But surely more than humanly reasonable.

In game trade. random junk rare items I collect from gold farm for 2 - 3 mil gold per trade. things were going good. But one weekend I did not have time to transfer gold. I accumulated 30 - 40 mil per account and my gold sellling on the mule account must have triggered the flag.

VMWare, different OS and mac address per bot/windows copy but the same ext IP.

6 running for couple months. 12 for a week. auth only on the RMAH accounts.

Nahh, just good at observing (even myself), and it's all speculations as all posts in this section. So take it for face value. Might be true, might be all bull. But these are the facts.
I started transferring more than 2 -3 mil per transaction.
I started selling 3 times more gold per day on RMAH account.
I was noob for leveling with DB, would not have used Queen's profiles. Used autoit before with private slow profile and was greedy to do it faster with DB now.

I'll stay low for some time. And actually enjoy the game, manually for some time, enjoy leveling different chars on my accounts. And see what happens with the questing 1 - 60 type profiles. I would love to work on those as I am software dev as well, but the pay is not matching my current job . All I managed to spare some time to tweak and customize some plugins and profiles here and there.

Thanks, man. All the stuff here is from the different forums and guides. Blizz have filters and querries that flag enough people, I doubt they gonna go FBI on individual people. And I got already banned, remmember

I think its pretty fucking obvious that if you not on US .server and EU server that you are all but guaranteed to get caught

All the shit we do with the bot is obvious to a human and query-able from their log DB. Unless you bot 4 - 6 hours no more than 5 days a week. And bot long 30+ min profiles on rotation, so that you can blend with the regular Joe playing.

No matter how much you randomize, if you run it 8+ h/day doing the same 5 min run.......
