When a monster drops an item, Diablo III randomly determines the item’s quality from a chart that includes item quality and the number of affixes present. The game randomly "rolls" on each property in the chart to determine which affixes your item will get. Your magic find score is applied as a bonus to these rolls.

I think you're doing something very wrong if you're at 10-20 rares per hour in act 1 m8

Thanks, I see that you are picking way too many low lvl rares (for my taste), I have it at 61+ for weapons and armors, so I guess I am not THAT behind on rares as I thought before. Still, act3 stats look pretty neat to me with ~26 61-63 rares per hour (and some more low lvl jewelry which is also good.)

I actually only pick up rares 60+ , but Giles still shows the lower ones in the logs aswell

the only two legendaries i seem to be picking up are " The tormentor " and " Sever ", havent see anything else in my stash aside from 1 or 2 set items.

i'm farming A3 with a monk 21k dps , 1100alres, 26 block, 1700 dex, 44k life getting 90k gph - 1 legendary per day +- and some raries i sell every often for cheap price. Should be better switch to MF/GF gear and go to A1 ?

You cant get legendayrs over 61 in a1 chance of skorn/manitcore and other godly items from a3
