actually radonic, you were reading into the op's post way too much. He only mentioned you to state the point that since you do everything, he doesn't only want to rely on you to make profiles, which in my opinion is pretty high praise. I'm not sure he meant it as praise but I could not read any ill will or malice towards you in his post, only at the db devs. He only mentions you in passing to state his point that the devs dont do anything.

I think his actual words were a bit harsher, even. And believe me, he knew Demonbuddy pretty well. He was the maker of some the most useful tools for DB, which were so good that some are still used to this day, and even decompiled by users to make them work with new versions. Maybe the name "AGB" rings some bells?

DB devs "say" (they don't, but that's how it is) that we must rely on the community, and yet they do nothing to maintain a community of good developers.

They obviously don't do it through developing. Features that would be INCREDIBLY USEFUL to newbies AND all users, and also INCREDIBLY EASY to code, such as a graphical interface for selecting DB launch commands (bnet account, password, no-flash) etc. are not there. Instead, you have to rely on modifying the properties of a shortcut and typing a lot of stuff, and make sure it's formatted correctly. Many people either don't know how to do it, or find it very annoying and at the very least, confusing. And so they have to rely on the community to make good launchers and reloggers to avoid doing all that. And so, there's 10-page threads taking space on the main forum debating which is the best relogger, which WE'RE supposed to go through to figure out what's best for us, or keep using shitty shortcuts even if you're multiboxing. ALL OF THAT could've been avoided by adding stuff that can LITERALLY be coded and tested in 10 minutes, 15 minutes TOPS. But no, we're so entitled.

And they don't do it by moderating the forums either so that any kind of reasonable discussion can flow. Hell, I would settle with a subforum in which newbies can ask questions without being insulted, laughed at, or told to "go get a refund and buy another bot" (you can read this very thread and you'll find many friendly, super-useful replies like that).

Apparently all of this is, plus all the things I said in my other pust, is just asking too much for my money, and I should be forever thankful every time DB is updated (every 3-4 weeks, most of which are just bugfixes, 1 week if the bug is crippling). Well, uh, no.

I do agree with that!
I got 20 bots atm and im thankful that my bots seem to never crash

I do know who kane is and i also know that almost everyone thought he was a twat(harsh but true).
I do know that DB could be so much more, but atm im trying to work with what we got.
I dont care if i put in 100 more hours then the DB dev together, because i do what i do because i think its fun!
Create things and make other users happy are really giving, but in the same time i have to accept what DB is
and what DB is not, and so do you.

If they could come up with a magic solution i bet they would.
Atm we just have to accept that WOW is a bigger game and that they got more customers that use HB then
DB...

Why do there have to be magical solutions. It seems to me a lot of the problems can be fixed easily from what other people have said.
And also, wouldn't it be great to make money WHILE have fun. The way I see it, DB would be crippled without you. Maybe if you were a dev we wouldnt even be having this argument since it seems you actually spend time making this bot better.
