VMware workstation 9

I had video drivers crash all the time when i had 64-bit windows 7 installed on VMware, now with 32-bit no problems anymore.

Have you guys experienced any "video drivers crash" aka "black screens" when running 2-3+ virtual machines.
With vmware 8 i am getting black screens on all virtual machines every 2-3 hours, wondering if something will change if I migrate to version9

Same. Black screens on vmware 7 and 8.

no any "video drivers crash" on win7 x32 and x64. vmware 9 and vmware beta technology preview.

I wanted to know if VNC shows screen even if it blackscreen on vmware

I have no idea. When I have some time I may try for myself cause that will be *some* solution for the blackscreens, at least ill be able to check if DB has crashed or not.

madmaximka, do you mean that you have had video drivers crash and blackscreens when you were running vmware 8 and now with vmware9 you do not get crashes anymore? How many virtual machines with bots are you running at once?

yes, even after the black screen, the vm is still working and botting, you can check it with vnc or rdp. if you lock your windows session from vnc or rdp, the image should display again on vmware console.

no. iam start using vmware beta technology preview then upgrade 3 vm to vmware9. all works fine. later iam migrate remaining vm`s to vmware9.
on one workstation iam run 5 vm.

i think teamviewer faster and better then vnc, because if you behind nat - no need configure port forwarding.

Haha, if teamviewer is faster and better than vnc, then vnc is really trash. Teamviewer is crap slow/laggy for me even when trying to connect to other PCs in the same LAN.

Downloading VM9

Same.
I'm using 7.0 right now. Can someone tell me how to migrate, so I don't have to remake everything again? o,O

Should I uninstall 7.0 before installing 9.0?

when you connect to host in your lan - in teamviewer settings allow incoming lan connection and connect DIRECTLY to destination lan ip (private address), like 192.168.x.x ...

just run setup and setup uninstall old version and install new. after installing in vm tab you see option - upgrade virtual machine. after upgradin you must upgrade vmware tools.

Its all automatic, just download the VM and install, the installer will remove the older version. Once installed change the compatability of the VM from 7.0 to 9.0. Also upgrade the VMware tools inside the VM.

got my VMware 9.0 installed.

Guys could you share if you still experience the virtual drivers crash and blackscreens in vmware9. That includes everyone who has such crashes with vmware version 7 & 8.
Also is everyone noticing better overall performance with version9?
