Gold Price Crashed - Future of D3, battle.net currency?

You're so out of touch. You can buy 1m on RMAH for .8 right now. Chinese farmers are still paying .7 or more per m yes PAYING so they're still selling it for 1$ +. I was quoted 15m ago selling 50m to them at .75 and these are people ive sold over 1b gold to since release.

lol you are proving my point for me. I have no idea what you are arguing. All I was saying, is prices aren't going crash to $0.25/mill. And on the US RMAH average last 10 trades shows 1.18/mill. Unless that hasn't updated, not sure where you are getting 0.8/mill.

For a rather well written post you seem to lack the ability to tie the relevance of GAH and RMAH. The prices will get reflected in the GAH to match those in RMAH. 600k items will inflate so they equal out somewhere around the RMAH value +/- a few $$.

You only look at this as an annoyance since you want to make money off every moron that plays D3 for fun rather then profit.

I look at this as economics. This is what happens in the real world when you have more currency being created then used.

I fail to see your point of me not relating the 2 auction houses? That was the entire point of my thread.

Gold AH prices WILL rise to reflect RMAH prices. The fact that gold literally just took a 10fold dive in value for those who chose to buy from the RMAH rather than blackmarket, you can expect the items in the gold auction house to rise in value at a factor of close to that. Considering the prices in the gold AH were inflated and senseless pre-1.04, post 1.04 people will be creating hack programs to add more zero's to your buyout price.

Edit: Along with this, of course the 250$ cap on item price would need to be raised. Which I can see happening in the near future as well.

maybe

1.18 x .30 = .826ish = 1mil sold = 80 cents after fees

You make the assumption that GOLD will be worthless. GOLD is the start point.

If you fail to see blizzard trying to stop people from going to 3rd party sites buying 100mil for 85$ then buying stuff on GAH to resell on RMAH for 150$. They would rather you just bought from them to do the same thing. Apparently you only want blizzard to be nazi style blizzard when it can create you revenue.

I dont bot to make money kid, I bot to get ahead in the game because I don't have the time to put into it myself. I dont understand why everyone on this site hates on people for trying to make money anyway? Not smart enough to do it yourself?

That being said, the "career path" of buying cheap items on the gold auction house and selling them for profit on the RMAH will come to an end as there are less newbs and people start to realise what their items are worth.

My point was, that with gold being worth 25cents a million, why would you EVER run sarkoth(nerfed now I know) or ANY other GF profile when you could run champion packs and if you find 1 item a month you can sell it for more gold than you would farm.

Those that are going to buy gold, would have to spend 100$ or more to get enough gold to buy anything worth looking at, so why not skip the middle step?

Actually I have not worked a real job since I don't know 2002 as I have lived more then comfortable for the most part off playing video games. I just do not get all butt hurt when they fix problems caused by people like myself who are exploiting the game at the cost of those who are playing it for fun.

Personally I am happy about this change.

When the economy finally settles down in 3-6 months. The prices will level out, until then find something else to do besides cry about how you think they killed the GAH and forced you to use the RMAH.

Also on the point of newbies realizing what the items are worth. Good luck with that. People want to play the game not sit in an AH screen to price items.

Keep living in your bubble, it will burst.

Other than that it's really not worth a reply.

You two shut up and kiss ;)

Yeah baby, that's how we like it :)

I'm just laughing at those on the D3 forum who denied that what was posted by Bliz, meant that 1milion gold could be sold for 25 cents. And especially at the guy who wrote something like:
LEARN
TO
READ

LOL, fool. Actually, what am I doing, OFF TO THE D3 FORUMS TO LAUGH AT HIM...

Then to cry, because now my gold farming chars will retire, but big it up for the new boys... Champ Farming away, WOOT...

Sorry, too much coffee!

You do realize that is part of life. Jobs come and go, if you do not change with the times you end up sinking.

It is nice to know you wont be replying any more. Thanks for the update.
