Hey, I just got my trial working, and I loaded some core profile, although I am experiencing lag. Is there something else I am missing? I know it is not my computer, because I botted with hellbuddy with core and made 300k+gold per hour, and now I am only making 160k per hour. Any suggestions?

Also, the lag only hits when I encounter mobs of monsters, all of a sudden, it starts stuttering, all my video setting are low and on what is recommended, so I know for a fact it is not that. I also tried all the fps's, and its all the same. Also, I know it is not my computer either because when I was running Hellbuddy, I could have 4 scrips running at once without lag nearly as bad as this, and I am only running 1 for this.

A lot of us get this. Also when an AOE "goes off" - like the explosive AOE's that some elites do - that seems to cause a massive lag/stutter too.

I'd love to know the cause of it, and if it's fixable.

My fps is currently set at 60 each, but I'm almost positive it is not that, because I have tried all the recommended fps's, none of which makes a difference. The lag is not like it freezes, it just sputters so that it slows the whole game down during combat.

Is this a fixable problem? If not, I don't even know if the bot is worth it for me because at a rate of gph Im going right now, its probably going to take around 3 weeks of 24/7 botting to get my costs back, which I would have a big chance of being banned already.

Have just heard that supposedly the next version should have a fix that is meant to seriously reduce the lag (particularly during heavy combat)... so fingers crossed and I think we'll have to have a little patience and see how much it improves the next version!

Haven't a clue I would imagine this week sometime though.

Also - little tip Cdmichaelb just discovered in IRC (a few of us hang out on Quakenet in #DemonBuddy - you can use WebIRC if you want; [url]http://webchat.quakenet.org/[/url] channel DemonBuddy) - if you FORCE DemonBuddy to disable log-file writing you can get an improvement to performance, too. You can't do it by simply "disabling" logging in the Settings tab, as that just changes the screen-output (it still logs EVERYTHING to file in the logs folder) - but if you use administrative priveleges on the Logs folder to prevent write access you can prevent DB writing to the log-file.

(I also found that running DB, letting it create the log-file, then RMB that individual log-file and set to "Read Only" works. Simply RMB the logs folder and setting to "Read Only" does not work).

It's a temporary measure and only "helps" doesn't fix lag (the fix due in DB is something else entirely not related to logging, but related to their value reading process which is currently extremely slow)... and I don't recommend it as an "always on thing" because those logs are damned handy to find out problems and bugs that randomly crop up - but, as a stop-gap if you're desperate for at least a little extra performance, it's worth a try?

Thanks for the advice, but I'm probably just going to wait for the new release because I am only using a trial right now to test it out. Trying to find a replacement for hellbuddy after they just burned everything down and said **** it to everyone and ran away with all our money.
