I just downloaded DB and am having quite a bit of trouble getting it going. I have looked all through the threads for things to troubleshoot it and I am coming up empty handed.

I am using Win7 OS, I have downloaded DBWhiz (which has confirmed I have all the additional software to use DB), and done a full restart on my computer.

When I download Visual C++ 2010 from the user guide, it says a newer version already exists and until the isssue is resolved it cannot proceed.

I have double checked to make sure everything is unzipped and I have followed the given user guide as well as some of the thread start up guides. I am sure it is something simple that I am missing. Can anyone see anything or even suggest anything with the information given to help me get DB running?

I open Diablo 3 up to the point where my Barb is in game and then I open DB. It proceeds to send me the following WRN;

[22:14:11.761 D] System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'fasmdll_managed, Version=1.0.843.199, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=f20f8f99ca0718ca' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
File name: 'fasmdll_managed, Version=1.0.843.199, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=f20f8f99ca0718ca'
at Zeta.MemoryManagement.ExternalProcessReader..ctor( Process proc)
at Zeta.ZetaDia.TryInitialize(Process proc, String& reason)

WRN: Assembly binding logging is turned OFF.
To enable assembly bind failure logging, set the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog] (DWORD) to 1.
Note: There is some performance penalty associated with assembly bind failure logging.
To turn this feature off, remove the registry value [HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fusion!EnableLog].

Thanks a ton,

I believe I told you in your other thread - did you read the guide?

yes I did read the guide. I followed all its directions. I also put in my post that I did read the guide provided with the download as well as some of the ones on the forums.

that error there is either C++ 2010 redist, or .net 4.0? or .net 3.5 sp1 not installed (I don't recall which one DB uses off hand)

I am using the user guide provided with the DB download.

1. Diablo 3 fully installed and updated to connect to live servers.
2. Microsoft .NET Framework 4 - Can be downloaded here
3. Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package - can be downloaded here
4. DemonBuddy Release Package - The Latest Version can always be found at
Releases or at Download

Step 3 it says it has an error because I have a newer version keeping it from being downloaded.

Does that help with your question?

Out of curiosity, is there anyway you can use skype real quick to help me? I can share screen and you can see what I am doing and maybe spot the problem.

I don't do the live support and what not, Tony is offline atm - so I try and help out where I can.

uninstall the c++ redist you have and install the 2010 'older' one and see if that works. If not, you'll have to wait for Tony.

When I download Visual C++ 2010 from the user guide, it says a newer version already exists and until the isssue is resolved it cannot proceed.

delete the version you have and use our wizard
also

are all DB files under the same folder?
also dont use any shortcut for DB exe and make sure that your OS is updated

I used wizard and deleted all Visuall C++ and DL the version offered in the user guide. The DB files are all under the same folder. The os should be uptodate and I dont use a shortcut.
